Hey Steve I'm sure there may be a better forum to ask this question of you but...I live in Arizona and I'm probably a year out or so from doing my transmission (my 17 Ram is stock power with 25k on it). Anyways I'm trying to find a really good reliable shop for diesel work, especially when I go to do my trans. Figure you probably have some AZ subscribers that may have some suggestions? It's funny that you live clear across the country and I'm asking for local advice but, that's one of the benefits of what you do! Thanks bro love the content

I don’t know anyone in AZ, but I’ll pin this to see if any other subscribers do..

Sweet thanks...I'm getting all the other phases of my build done first (suspension, exterior, etc). Performance phase will probably start with a valve body and cooler bypass from RevMax and deep trans pan/Amsoil for trans, then an emissions intact tune... then evolve from there.

Travis Korda - Hey Travis! Check these guys out www.brahssolutions.com They are here in Albuquerque so it would be a little drive from AZ for you but all their guys are Master Cummins techs!

@@traviskorda3262 if you're planning on using aftermarket performance transmission components (regardless of make), verify with the company that they're ok with amsoil trans fluid. the stuff i saw a while back wasn't listed specifically as ATF-4 but as "ATF-4 compatible" or "meets ATF-4 standards", and that may not be acceptable for any warranty coverage on the parts.

@@elpozzinator thanks I plan on using RevMax as long as I retain the 68RFE (when it comes time that I need to do a full rebuild I'll either go full Revmax or Allison swap)...so I'll make sure and check with them. I cant imagine they would have an issue with Amsoil but, dont know for a fact

The sprag is by far the most durable component you showed. If you get the sprag elements to roll over you broke the race. Overrunning ramp roller clutches are inherently weak. They brinell the inner race under mega load. Good parts. I like rev max.

Now we know why they charge 3500 to upgrade to the aisin trans. Its cheap vs all this crap. I have spent 18k on suncoast 68 re transmissions parts for my 2008. Then i still had to spend 12k on a 48re swap to hold 900hp. Never again! Got my 2018 3500 with aisin.

Within two years my 700 series has been to Revmax twice already within 50k miles, and not beating it either just normally driving not towing, less than 500hp. :( Just got it back from Revmax and it's having trouble going into overdrive already.

@@jeremybrewer7343 gotta love spending all this money and not trusting it anymore. I was pumped when I spent all that hard earned money thinking it would last me forever as I take care of it- big disappointment is what it is.
