Transmission relearn is more about cycles through the gear shifts than a mileage number. IE going for a 30 mile interstate cruise will be basically useless.

Yep, 30 miles of stop and go traffic or city driving will make a truck learn real quick. My 2018 ram learned city driving. Highway, not so much. Also sucks when switching drivers as 1 drives differently than the other.

Hey excellent video. That rubbing on flex plate is not good. Dodge should be made aware of that. I have a 2006 crewcab diesel. It’s mainly stock and would like to get any upgrades to the weak points of the trans. It’s hard to find competent people like those guys around my area that enjoy and know what they are doing. It’s a nice shop. I’m in Jersey.

Nice episode Greg. Curious why you didn’t opt for an Aisin. I am on Dodge/Ram #3 (96 3/4 ton NV4500, 01.5 dually NV5600, 18 3500 srw Laramie Longhorn Aisin). The build on the trans for your 18 was great info as a few of my friends have 2018 2500 Rams with the 68RFE that I have warned about some of the weak spots. I am still researching information about the Aisin transmissions. While I stepped on my other Cummins powered Dodges pretty thoroughly...this one I have vowed to leave stock. Really like your videos...well done! Love the first gen project btw!!

I believe they only do 68s in house and local so they can give you better service should complications arise. They aren’t dialed in 100% I assume
