@@PHLUTO Please! Take a moment to appreciate the tempo/speed at which Vera Lynn sings this song. Gracie Fields sings it at a faster speed (too fast IMO) in her renditions, along with a kind of yodelling in parts, which I just find annoying. Vera sings it at a slower pace, even whilst the bombs are dropping & exploding, making everyone on edge. How poignant.....taking her time to sing each line slowly and deliberately, in a show of defiance to the enemy. It's courage and hope in the face of death. Brilliant!
