If I remember correctly, there was a story about how this stuff gets made. Essentially, an official order is completed at a factory in China. Once that first run is complete, the factory owner or someone with access to the schematics either sells it to another factory down the road OR does another unapproved run through their own assembly line. Since it's not the first official run, the next factory uses whatever material that's cheapest to them to make it yielding similar looking but less durable products. If the original factory does an unapproved second or third run you end up with a better product but typically missing the logos. However, they're way less likely to conduct strict quality control.

I used to order quite a bit of stuff from overseas, but as the wait times became longer and longer I ordered less and less. The last item stated that for extra I could get it within two weeks. FOUR months later it got here. I can't think of anything I would need badly enough to order from across the sea ever again.

The real hd mirror cam looks like a home video on 70s film! When I worked in Walmart sporting goods, I steered people away from the taclights. Ozark trail lights are heavier and brighter. They also give you a lumen value as opposed to the taclight that gives a multiple.

The only things I'll buy from wish are things like D&D Dice, figurines, some random knick knacks and what not. never anything that I'd be using roughly. Mostly buy display pieces that are of at least decent quality. But most things from wish are just worthless

The best as seen on TV product I think I've owned is the Ove Glove, I always hated not having the ability to use my fingers when taking things out of the oven. It doesn't work for things that are super hot like 500°+ but still useful

slap chop has been around since the 60's, possible since the fifties (used one as a kid in1967), no fancy name back then was just known as a chopper. Glass jar with screw on lid, and the blades were just an "x". Still have and use my mom's and picked up a spare at a yard sale 10 years ago, in case jar ever breaks.

James, great video as usual. On the Taclight, the fast strobe is not in the SOS pattern. It is considered a "Disruptive" strobe. It is meant to disrupt and confuse an assailant when shined at his eyes

Knockoffs suck. Case in point: I bought a used Gibson Les Paul, and paid a tad over $1000.00 US (studio model). Plays great, looks great and I'm very satisfied with the purchase. However, I could have purchased a brand-new 'Chibson' (Chinese knockoff) Custom Shop clone for around $300.00 including shipping. Now, assuming it actually made it through customs, I'd have had a copy that would look good on the wall, from a distance. It would not play as good, nor sound as good, and based on the many reviews of these things I've watched even the geometry would have been off. (Just a note - yeah, Gibson's quality has been off for some time, but 1. it's finally getting better, and 2. Mine is from 2011, well before the QC dropoff began.) For some folks, the money is the main thing. For me, however, performance is king. I would rather spend a lot more (even if it means saving for a much longer time) and get something that I know will function as advertised, than get a piece of junk.

I know that it might have been beyond the scope of the video, but an important test for sunglasses is their UV blocking ability. If they reduce visible light transmission, but not block the UV, the eye's iris will dilate, and let in even more damaging UV than wearing no sunglasses at all. For that reason alone, I will never buy cheap sunnies.

I've lived in Vegas for many years, and it's my understanding that they're for air travel, when it gets dark it's kinda hard to see where the mountain is for a helicopter, so it's a safety thing

That wasn't a signal for help. To me, it looked like a beacon light of some sort, probably to warn of a hazard as it's a raised protrusion of land. Probably meant for helicopters. I dunno, either way it seems like an automated signal, and it wasn't in a repeating pattern, just a regular on-off sequence.

sos is a Morris code sequence, not a slow sos, the slower one is a sos. The fast is designed to be a defensive strobe . making it harder for a attacker to focus on you. giving you a slight advantage to either get away, or giving you a chance to wack the guy when he turns from the bright flashing light .

Think I have only ever had one item not show but I hardly ever order since eBay, for the most part, is better and cheaper 9 times out of 10. They also have real pics of the item not bait and switch you with pictures and names of real items. If Wish didn't charge shipping Wish would win out in price.

I had the same problem. About half of what I ordered from Wish actually showed up. Then, Wish said I "abused their refund policies" and refused to refund my money on things that didn't show up. That's when I was done with Wish.

I bought a "tac light" from a vendor at my local public marker for $4, it has a battery cartridge as well as a rechargeable battery and a plug-in charger. It was all well packaged in a gun-type of a plastic box with all sorts of security locks and it works amazing.

I agree with you on the dashcams. The wish has better color definition than the ASOTV, but I'd take the Vantrue anyday. Only problem is that the vantrue I bought has a capacitor than a battery. When that thing wears out, you have to manually power down the camera, otherwise the clock will reset, which can get very annoying very fast.

Interestingly, my boss gave us all "Gearlight" flashlights last year. I just grabbed mine because it looks very similar to the Tac Light. It is basically identical to the Wish, including the red button, modes, and even the extra 0s on the zoom. So maybe the Wish is a knockoff of a knockoff?

About the Rocket Copter. In our country a cheap knockoff of these are sold at 10 BDT essentially 10 cents in USD. It breaks down easily in 10-20 tries but it will give Rocket copter run for its money performance wise

I've had the TAC flashlight before and I broke it and torn it apart the changing functions are a circuit board with a clicky button in the battery cover if you swap the battery covers between the wish flashlight and the real Tac light you'll get the best of both
