The practitioner in me is loving this. The botany geek in me is railing about how moss is a non-vascular plant that has rhizoids instead of roots. "Help it take rhizoid" just doesn't have the same ring, though, does it? Haha.

I got some flowers in a potion bottle shaped vase so I was thinking of making a witch’s ball of sorts out of it. It’s thin glass so it would need to go somewhere safe and secure but watching this I think it could work 😊

I have mixed all the herbs together in a cauldron before placing them inside the ball/bottle/jar , then stones , a little glitter for fun and a few drops of my blood and some really strong drinking alcohol , in the past. Add a few charms for the outside , seal it up at that point. I only add blood if going to be displayed in my home. But I like creating them as gifts for friends as well

Hearth, how long do you usually keep your witch's balls before disassembling and remaking/refreshing them?

What about putting some of the string into the ball? I hear that helps to trap evil spirits. Great video! I just bought some evil eye charms to make one of these. I make a new one every year and I also have one in my witchy room that a good friend made for me that seriously brings good vibes :)

First off, you’re great, and I love your channel. That is beautiful. You should make those and sell them at your booth. I know that these kind of things are definitely more powerful and connected to the maker in the purpose of manifestation, etc..., but I know that they would sell. If something like that was in one of the “Metaphysical”, “New Age”, or “Crystal Shops”, here in Western Massachusetts (USA for those not familiar), I guarantee they would sell for between $50 and$100. You are an artist with those. I would love to see some of the jewelry you said you used to make. I craft as well, so I can very much appreciate the time and effort that goes into a project. I hand stitch all the leather and other soft projects that I do. Sometimes I think I’m buying credits in Purgatory with all that tedious tiny work. But it’s always worth it in the end. A lot of people don’t know, or don’t have the motivation to do hand-craft anymore, which is a shame. Thanks again.

Just a random couple of comments (apart from thanks this was really cool and if I can get an empty Christmas ball in lockdown I'll try this!) - I have the same pentacle ring and wear it on the same finger, and I was absolutely chuffed when I discovered that nettle is good for protection because it keeps growing in our backyard and now I welcome it and use it instead of just being annoyed by it!

This talk of nettle reminds me of what I call "the summer of no raspberries." When I reached adolescence & the hormones kicked in I went a bit feral, that is I developed a mind and will of my own. My father was a great gardener, and had a wonderful patch of raspberries. I loved the berries, but the patch was full of stinging nettle, to which I was awfully allergic. I refused to pick the berries because of it. My father said, "Alright, if you won't pick any raspberries you don't eat any raspberries." So that is how I suffered through the summer of no raspberries. Many years later, when my father was in his 80s, he apologized & admitted that he should have weeded out the offending nettles. But now I think I will buy some nettle leaf and wear gloves when I add them to a witch ball.
