The only mandatory corrupted arcana are from the big green crystal. The other ones from the little containers are optional. It didn't let you through the door, because you already got one from the container, but didn't actually selected it (awakened it). If you exit from the selection, you can always activate it afterwards, the arcana tab is in the same menu where you access inventory, map etc.

@@SsjSpheall No worries. Also, I wouldn't bother pushing the tower too early. It's probably the most difficult thing to get through currently, so I'd spend some time grinding out the coast and castle maps first to upgrade the weapons/spells/trinkets, and test out some powerful elemental synergies before trying to face the tower boss.

bro Just so you know the witch fire crystals go into your inventory, and you can use them to gain witch fire and also you need to equip those prophecies, you can equip three of them as of this moment and one other thing is if you pick up arcana and then exit the menu without selecting one you can go back in and just select which one you want, you got a good bit to learn but you're doing good the wailing tower is tough, I'm 38 hours in and haven't even attempted it yet cause I know it's tough anyway you're going to love this game and the weapons and spells and all the other equips you can get, I consider this game a chef's kiss so to speak, just a warning when you raise your Gnosis level the enemies will be tougher and ALOT more will spawn and new enemies will start spawning too so I recommend leveling up all your weapons and spells before doing it and one other thing when it comes to leveling up you want to go for Vitality, Metanoia and healing is pretty much pointless, healing is pointless because later on you can get a relic or a fetish I can't remember which one but it makes your healing 10x better anyway just thought I'd share a few tips I've learned along the way in my 38 hours of playtime, there is a lot more but it would literally be a book if I typed it all......good luck!
