It is time to remember and reflect on the crimes the Puritans committed in Essex County Mass. in 1692, how they unjustly accused and murdered by hanging so many of our people, Salem will never be forgotten or forgiven. We offer a prayer to our Lord Ahriman and enter into the rituals of blood, salt and water in remembrance. Blessed be.

From what I searched, I don’t see Elie Wiesel’s dedication speech on KZbin. If any of the organizers of this event have access to a recording, it would be great to put up here

You're looking for the organization, Voices Against Injustice. If anyone knows where that speech lives it is them... And maybe Salem Access Television.

"It matters that Salem in 1692 was a dumpster fire!" LOL, fantastic! But seriously, this is such a wonderful, well thought out discussion that really fleshes out the importance and duality of Salem. As someone who's studied the Trials for many years and wished for Salem as a whole to pour more resources into properly representing the history rather than cheap Halloween-y fodder (though it has its place), I'm so so glad the PEM FINALLY is using the incredible documents and objects they've had in storage. For years it seemed the last thing they wanted to do was to use their resources in telling the story people come to Salem to learn about, but I'm very happy there's been a sea change.

Hi Lauren! How are you doing? I am curious to know certain details about the Salem witch trials and how they are perceived today by people living in Salem as well as in America as a whole. Have they forgotten or are the memories completely distorted because of commercialization and so much fiction and narratives about the event. could you please share some insights, it will be helpful for my research.
