My great grandmother was a member of the New Forest coven in the 1930s, and knew Gardner. As described to me, she was a founding member of the coven, so it was a new coven at the time. However, magic practices in the New Forest go back much further than that.

It's the difference between Gardinarian and Alexandrian Magic. Then of course Wicca. Fascinating history. 3 branches of elder witchcraft brought into modern times.

Also, if you research Gardners Coven and teaching's you may see your grandma there.

I did a spell that required me to look in a mirror and say a certain incantation and the next day I was fucked I've noticed I heard talk above my head and no one was in the room with me but myself. So pretty much I hear voices and see stuff too I want that blocked off so my minds won't hear or see things no more and come to find out it wasn't spirits or anything it's just my own thoughts speaking to me so pretty much say if I'm thinking of a family member that thought would be able to speak to me🤔

i don’t know how much fiction you read, but i just finished Weyward by Emilia Hart, and it was incredible. It’s about witchcraft and healing generational trauma, would highly recommend if you/anyone else is looking for some witchy fiction! The middle was a bit slow, but the end had me CRYING.

As a baby witch I am reading Psychic Witch by Matt Auryn (hope I spelled it right) and there are a few titles I looked up on Amazon, like the one by Lady Sabrina. So many on my list, wonder when I will be able to read it all 😂 Oh and the Witch’s survival guide I also added to my list. Wished I could be a witch full time… really wonder how other witches combine jobs with their household and craft. Love your earrings btw 😊

Love when you share these books. I’m American, with Irish, Scottish and some British heritage. I try to connect with my ancestors and the folk crafts they would have access too, when you share these hauls it opens up so much for me!! I’m really interested in hearing your thoughts on all of them tbh, but if I had to choose: The Nine-Fold way of Avalon Witchcraft and secret societies in rural England Witches master grimoire Any of Oates books Thank you so much Hearth.❤

I highly recommend Witches of America, by Alex Mar. She is more of an anthropologist/writer but she explored a good deal of different sects of witchcraft within the US. Beautifully written and she tactfully explores and explains the different types of covens she had contact with. It is also a good beginner read as she explores her own interest and passion in finding a craft suited for her. I recommend it even if you're not in America!

I have watched the vast majority of your content and love the open-minded way you present a wide number of beliefs and practices. If you would be so inclined, I would enjoy you doing a video on your beliefs. I am specifically interested in your point of view on the nature of magic. Herbal pharmacology aside, I see the common thread of all magical practices to be the manipulation of energies, and those energies being the beliefs of the individual or the prevailing cumulative beliefs of society as a whole. It would be interesting to hear your thoughts on the matter.

The Ash Tree: February 18 - March 17Imaginative, intuitive, and naturally artistic, they see the world in water-color purity. Ash tend to be moody and withdrawn at times, but that's only because their inner landscape is in constant motion. They are in touch with their muse, and are easily inspired by nature.

I am reading currently Clear Your Clutter With Feng Shui by Karen Kingston. I have read her first work on the topic of space clearing and I am a quarter of the way into this second one and I can say honestly I am diametrically opposed to the majority of this author's world view, scattered, by the way, throughout these pages. Her thoughts on heavier individuals being natural hoarders is offensive. There is much to disagree with within the pages, which is fine, but I picked it up to get a little more organized and got paragraphs of personal opinion.

@linwong1494 Жыл бұрын
Literally been experiencing this until today. Honestly, the only reason I did any magic today is because I knew I had to. I knew I just had to cleanse this space, because it was a chore that was overdue and I knew I wanted to get back into it even if I didn’t feel it at the time. I find this is the same for anything we put off. Just doing it helps. Same with art, or a difficult task. Just starting is the hardest step, but once you get there you start to feel yourself getting back into it. It can also help if what you’re tackling magically is not high effort. A simple cleansing, or just reading a few pages is good enough to get you going. Just my two cents.

Maybe you don't need to read right now. Maybe try planting an herb and learning its lore. Maybe hike a trail throughout the year and get to know its rhythms through the seasons. Perhaps you can learn a craft such as sewing or knitting and weav3 your magic into it.
