Steel Xcaliber She tried to give Ciri over to the Lodge of Sorceresses because she was essentially under Phillipa's thumb. And she didn't come to Yennefer's side when Yen was wanted for crimes she didn't commit because she was a member of the Lodge and Phillipa said "no". But even in the books, she 'redeemed' herself later by throwing herself in front of the mob trying to kill Yennefer. When it comes to 'taking advantage of Geralt's amnesia' you can look at the game footage yourself. The two times she can sleep with Geralt, she actually tries to bring up Yen. Geralt tells her he doesn't want to talk about it both times. Like always with Yen vs Triss commentary (on both sides), people like to cherry pick or focus on the bad instead of the whole picture.

Zela Morre I don't see that as a betrayal. From what I can tell, she genuinely believed in the Lodge's long term plan and was conflicted about her emotions toward Ciri. Of all the factions after Ciri, the Lodge was probably the best possible outcome.

I purposefully wore Geralt's tourney armour because that red and white checkers pattern was horrible. Wolf Witcher armour, Kaer Morhen armour, and the Undvik armour are the only ones I found aesthetically pleasing.

I'm glad to say I got pretty much the best ending in base game and DLC. Got Ciri to be a witcher, romanced Yen (and Triss, but removed that bit with the console afterwards, papa bless), Managed to help with the orphanage and saved Syanna AND make her forgive her sister. Damn, I'm proud of myself. This game is so good it hurts when it's over. I can't wait for the Cyberpunk 2077.

Same. (Minus the Triss part.) Only issue is I’m now playing it on new game + while reading the books, and I have no desire to play it differently. I romanced Yen, who is one of my favorite characters (and who is the perfect match for Geralt) made Cerys queen, fought with all my friends including letho at Kaer Morhen, Ciri’s a witcher, Olgierd’s Alive and the curse lifted and Syanna lived and made up with Anarietta. I love Triss but I could never bring myself to romance her and leave Yen.

I like to imagine that Geralt and Ciri spent the next few decades roaming Touissant and near ridding it of monsters. I don't doubt that a child of the Elder Blood and arguably the most talented Witcher ever could manage it together, if they were focused on just one area rather than roaming around the entire known world. With Yen/Triss tagging along occasionally, whenever she got bored and wanted to get out and disintegrate something. I know this isn't a world where happy endings really exist, so I'm pleased we don't get a summary of the rest of their lives, because the game made me love these characters and I want them to get a Happily Ever After, even if I have to headcanon it.

this game blew my mind. And of course i'm one of the thousands people wondering which ending was the best for Ciri. Endless debate. But i guess it's up to our own "vision of happiness". Do happiness have to come with true liberty or we have to sometimes be responsible and sacrifice our own happiness for a "greater good", which in this case would be Ciri ending up empress? Me personnaly i always made my mind clearly. Even near the end of the game Ciri told : " It's my story , let's me choose how to finish it". Ciri being empress it's a combination of pressure from many people around ; pushing her all the time and harassing her because of her "power" and blood. I NEVER witnessed any SINGLE moment when Ciri had even a slighty positive thought about being empress Througout all the conversations you had with her . + she seems to despise her "dad". A lot of people are thinking that Ciri being empress is a "good" ending, but i always end up thinking that all she ever wanted in her life is to be free and live her life that she choose: being a witcher. But i can understand people disagree with that. As a parent we always want the "best" for our child, but maybe there is a lesson here to be thought : happiness matters most. And sometimes our kid doesnt want to embrace the "big destiny" that we think they are meant to fullfill.... Of course thinking Ciri as an empress is an awesome idea but i think the title of this mission tells a lot : "be it ever so humble", meant for Ciri. If Ciri is empress we can think that it's meant for Geralt who refused to be a court witcher. But again, it's Ciri's story, Ciri's choice. It always have been about Ciri...

well, if you kill Radovid and support roache, the war ends up kinda good with Emhyr in power and having Roache as some kind of advisor. in my opinion Ciri is a Witcher, even without the trial of grasses. And she looks WAY happier as a witcher than a empress. Also, it's impossible to me (who read the books) to give this ending to Ciri / Geralt after so much suffering they both have experienced

totally agree. and the more i think about it, the more it makes sense. Remember also her reaction towards Geralt when he faces Emhyr and didnt accept the money after he found her. She was proud and happy. She never wanted to deal with Ehmyr. People choosing Ciri as empress just wanted to fullfill their own desires, not Ciri's ; not the real character choice.... Even though when you make that choice of her being empress, the game makes it look like if Ciri is ok with her decision, 99% of the time proved that she always wanted to escape from all that sh***. Ciri becoming a Witcher is the best ending. Ciri never shows any indication she wants to be empress before or after the choice is made. People want to say she “matured” in the empress ending. That’s not true. Maturity is about understanding what’s important to you and what truly makes you happy, not about sacrificing it. Yaudah Productions That depends on how you look at it. Depending on how you play and the choices you make, Ciri can discover her ties to royalty and still become a Witcher at the end. Both choices require you to make explicit decisions that can push her one way or the other, which means you have to look at which ending she is happier in. She is clearly much happier as a Witcher and views her royal duties as a bit of a burden, hence why the Witcher ending is her best ending

Now imagine a Witcher 4 of sorts where the prologue would be different depending on the ending of your Witcher 3 playthorugh. You play as Ciri, and there are three different openings: one where she starts out as the empress, one where she starts out as a witcher, and one where she's lost in the white frost. From those three starting paths you then get the game start proper (ala dragon age origins). Those three different paths could even give you perks and bonuses during the game: being a witcher would have better alchemy/combat, being the empress would have better social perks, barter, etc, and being list in the white frost would have better manipulation of Ciri's powers.

She's not a witcher. Witchers are born of mutation controlled through magic. Ciri is not altered like that. But don't misunderstand what I mean - She's far more powerful than any Witcher. However someone like Geralt, or even Vesemir, Eskel and Lambert, might have been able to defeat her still because of extensive and rigorous training, not to mention they ARE superhuman by default. She's a Witcher "trainee". Somehow able to drink their potions, but I can't imagine her gaining the same benefits from them as a Witcher would, aside from altering her blood so that vampires can't drink from her unharmed. She doesn't have to be a Witcher, but she can work as one through training. Easily rivaling most of them aswell.. but still no Witcher in the formal sense.

I don't get how there is doubt. "No regrets?" "Not at all. I'm doing whatever I wanted to do, being who I wanted to be". Being empress is not what she wanted to be. Yes, you can argue it is better 'for the bigger picture' and all that rot, but it is not best for Ciri. In the empress ending, she's still doubtful and clearly a bit jaded with the whole ordeal. Just doesn't seem as content or happy, much like there was never indication she ever would be in the first place. She just has to grow into it, whereas she can be herself this way as a Witcher.

This is a nice ending for Ciri. I made her empress because even though she doesn't appear to regret her decision, as Empress of Nilfgaard she'd be able to improve the lives of millions as a just and fair ruler, blending the power of Emhyr and the humility of Geralt. Good monarchs are often those least willing to take up power, Ciri would fall under that category for me.

There's something strange in this ending actually. I did a mistake in the main game. A didn't read books before playing games, I read them just after. So, I decided to sleep with Triss, but after I met Yenn, I changed my mind. HOWEVER, I was already doomed. :D I got to that part where they didn't want to be with me and I was left alone. I was so pissed, because I wanted to stay just wit Yenn. But then, this ending. It was Ciri who came to that house and I was thinking, in some way, this is just perfect ending for Geralt. For my Geralt in my playtrought at least. So, there is some strange choices sometimes, but also there's still some beauty in those decisions.

The worst ending is this: • Emhyr gets betrayed by the people in his own army for his incompetence, thus resulting in his death • Radovid pretty much kicks Nilfgard’s ass and rules like the autocratic MF he is • Triss and Yen give Gearlt the finger and fuck off on their separate ways • Olgierd dies • Syanna dies and there’s no family resolution • Keira’s Dead • Mages are trapped in Novigrad. Or if they escape, them niggas just start killing dudes who ain’t human cause why not • Gearlt kills the last bitch witch, however whilst she’s mourning Ciri, a fuck ton of drowns move in on the building he’s in, completely surrounding it; implying they tear his ass up • Ciri’s Dead

In the books, Ciri drank some magical water that had Geralt all messed up just by smelling it. Never did a thing on her.

thats an error on dev's part i believe, or at least whomever wrote this piece of dialogue. She would have normally died if she drank something as poisonous as black blood. Thats one of the worst witcher potions there is.

In other words, she faked a misstep and force fed the black blood to the garkain. No plot holes here, move along =b

In the books theirs a special diet of mushrooms and herbs witchers-to-be eat for a few months BEFORE adding the mutagens. It physically alters your body, though not as much as the mutations. Ciri did eat that special diet, though she didn't go through the mutations. Theoretically that might make her capable of taking potions, but I imagine she can't use witcher signs because the mutations gifts that-along with the enhanced senses (like cat eyes, better sense of smell, etc.) She is slightly stronger and faster than a normal human, and able to use potions, but that's the extent of her witcherism.

Ciri have to become a witcher, ando you have not getting romance with triss and yen, or try to conquer triss and yen. Gerald have to be alone, so ciri apear

Aureels her elder blood. In the Brooks ciri once drank from the well that turns people into dryads and it didn't affect her. Geralt only smelled that stuff and nearly passed out.

my only problem is her eyes didn't change and the only way a witcher can drink the black blood due to it's toxicity is the mutations which give the signature cat/wolf/snake/etc. eyes

The latter. You can romance them both, so they'll get pissed at you and leave. So Ciri will be the one who will end up moving in.
