The key simply unlocks a door in the exact same area so you don't have to jump through the hole and climb stuff again.

there's also one in novigrad it's a type of side quest you walk around novigrad and geralt says what's that smell, or rotting flesh, use witcher senses, find the source of the smell follow footprints don't give the key over loot the area you get 50 crowns and 200 floren it's a hidden quest thing,

I found great loot there, also found a fucking massive Nilfgaardian camp all the way at the bottom of Velen's map

You can't really say you 'found' it because it's pretty much 'in your face' whenever you look at the map.

Funny, because you do actually in Kaer Morhen: - Search room where kitchen and staircase to Yennefer's room connects - You will find a quest book/letter - Go to old mines near Kaer Morhen - Fight 2 elementas - Use magic eye Keira gave you 2 times - Search the room and you got yourself Mastercrafted Wolven Chest Armor

that's not a hidden area you can just jump across the bridge and use your witcher senses to see that wall and then use the witcher sign tou break it But still not a hidden area
