The story in the Hearts of Stone is based on a polish legend about Mr. Twardowski, a noble man who sold his soul to the devil for wealth and immortality. In some versions of it Twardowski thought he got the better of the devil as he would only give up his soul when they meet in Rome, where he didn't intend to go, but one time he entered a tavern called Rome. He escaped to the Moon, where he lives to this day.

Ohohoho this DLC trailer series is a treat! Witcher 3's DLCs are strong content, and Blood and Wine is probably the best because you get to visit Toussaint, the wine capital of their world. Both have fantastic soundtracks, too; individual to the characters within.

Hearts of Stone DLC was freakin’ incredible. It greatly showcased the horror aspect of Witcher 3 and it really did beyond anyone’s expectations. Meanwhile, the Blood and Wine DLC has a beautiful setting. It’s straight out of a fairytale. You know those princess stories where there’s castles and shits? That’s like that LOL! But just a little snippet: There’s a famous fairytale princess that’s in the Blood and Wine DLC and I’m sure you guys will recognize her once you play the game 😊 I’m telling you guys, ya’ll should really play The Witcher 3. It’s not just a game, it’s an experience.

@@DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames You get the remaster for free if you already own the main game and dlc's. I advise you to buy the whole game before the remaster...Witcher 3 including dlc's goes very cheap during sale if you don't wanna spend more when buying remastered version.

While the Hearts of Stone DLC wasn't quite as big as I hoped it'd be, the storyline more than made up for it. I was blown away with how good it was. Blood & Wine might as well have been another game entirely with how huge it was. Awesome DLC, too. Man, The Witcher 3 game, and expansions couldn't have been any better.

Red dead, Witcher, and the soulsborne series are my three favorite videogame story's of all time. The characters, world building, lore, mechanics, and sheer fun is insane in all of them. Movies and media today can't hold a candle to the universes these series create and the characters they make me fall in love with.

Everytime I think or start talking about this game with my friends, no joke I get goosebumps every single time. The Witcher 3 is one of the best games I've played and one of the best games just ever created period. That's just the base game. Those 2 dlcs were so incredible and added probably another 50-100 hours of content (which is absolutely insane). Theres so much more I can say honestly but please if you like rpgs ... Play this game!!

I loved Witcher 2. And then Witcher 3 came. I couldn't even begin to say why this game is simply one of the best I played (for sure top 3, but I cannot decide the placing with others), and why I spent insane amount of hours playing and replaying... What I love about this game, is attention to detail. From the way the grass moves in the wind, to the sounds of creaking trees while you travel on Roach (the horse), to the combat, the monsters, the towns, weapons and armour, and of course - the stories! I appreciated the DLCs as much as the main story. And lastly - Geralt of Rivia. What a dude.

The Story is so deep, such insane content, beautiful world for 2015 RPG and also one of the few games where DLCs are INANELY big, basically as big as for some companys standalone games. To be fair, i liked the sex scenes in witcher 2 more.

Kind of feel like the Sword of Destiny is one of the best trailers for a game out there. It gets you hyped for the game and it has so many loaded statements in it that change with context. Like the, "I'll give her what she deserves" has a lot of double meanings in it. But yeah you hit the nail on the head with the game though. It is a great game but it is ridiculously huge even for an RPG. A lot of it isn't even combat related, like in the Sword of Destiny trailer at least 1 scene is just horse racing (kind of cheeky when they slip it in there with the epic fighting music). Help an old lady find a pan, become the king player of trading cards, ect. But this is one of those games where a 20 hour DLC is consider side content because the main game is that big.

The Witcher videogames (and novels) are some of the best ever made for their respective genres. The first game was excellent and it really is something I'd rather not spoil the story for, but it's an epic conclusion to an epic trilogy. The first expansion puts Gerald between a rock and a hard place in a pact with the closest thing to the Devil in the Witcher universe. The second expansion puts Gerald in the middle of a mysterious conspiracy involving the only monster a Witcher may fear more than a true dragon. The only bad thing I can say about the Witcher is that in the games they never visited the regions that I would have liked to see the most.

I am hands down in love with the witcher 3. The lure and background information adds so much more content that red dead doesn't even compare, i liked red dead but only did 2 playthrus compared to the like 9 ive done for the witcher. To have the best witcher 3 experience I would definitely recommend reading or listing to the books before playing the game, they are really well written and the audio books narator does a superb job with the different voices and accents. There's so much connection between the 2 and the fact the game company had nothing todo with the author or books but playing it you wouldn't have any idea. When people say the witcher 3 has a standard no other rpg has lived up to, they mean it! And I hope you guys read the books then play the game so I can see your reaction!

@@DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames To take full advantage, I advise you to start with The witcher 2 and continue with 3. The emotions will be increased tenfold. Rdr 2 is also a masterpiece but you are less emotionally involved. Keep it up with your reaction videos on everything, you are beautiful to see and it's interesting to see that there are still people who react without speaking during the video and who listen and react afterwards.

8:37 There is an interesting film that explores that idea, it's called "The man from Earth". The premise is that there is a man who was born in the early moments of the human species, before there was even language, but due to some extremely rare genetic mutation he never did get old past a certain age (about 30 years old), and as a result he has lived many, many lifetimes, through many civilizations to the present day. But he doesn't have any other special abilities. In all aspects except one he is a normal man, his memory is more or less the memory of any normal human being, which means he has forgotten most of what he has lived, he remembers only bits and pieces, the most significant parts of his life. He has learned to change his identity every ten years, just before people around him start noticing that he doesn't get old. The film starts in one of those moments when he is about to leave his current life and change his identity again, and he has organized a last meeting, a farewell party, with his current friends before he leaves. But he is tired of the whole cycle, so he decides impulsively to tell his friends the truth. That's the premise of the film. It is a very low-budget film, and it is mostly only dialogue in a single room, but the premise is very interesting and it is well executed in my opinion. I recommend it. Another work I would recommend even more strongly about this topic is a short story called 'The Immortal', by Borges. It made me think hard about the idea of immortality and it changed my mind. And the writting is beautiful.

You look for people to ask then about ciri, help them while they interact with the WORLD of withcher. World is magical and gruel and beatifull. There is so much mystery behind every question mark in map. The side quests are mostly Story heavy and give you more about the world, and might have choices wich impact your journey and its end, when the game ends. Game can be hard on hardest diffucult, but its also not super hard like "elden ring, dark souls etc". DLC are bit different from normal dlc of like ubisoft games wich usually just add some mediocre cosmetics and little story wich dosnt add to the great epic unverse of said game. Here they are aaaaaaaaaallllll about the story, you get more weapons and armor and moves, magic what ever. to add, but there is always 1 big story which adds more to the GREAT story of witcher and geralt. 1st dlc is not that long, but the story of master mirror is epic. 2nd dlc is one of the best DLC you and anyone can buy, it its basicly a another game. i got atleast 30hours of it, but 15 to 20 hours easily. 2nd dlc is also SOFT ending for witcher,(meaning it could continue from there, but for now its on ICE), and what happened in your playtrough will all be basicly shown here. its the "last hurrah" so to speak. Basicly ,who died, what choises did you make, who if any did you romance, what did you choose to do between all the factions, These all effect the ending here. There is ending to the DLC story line, and then there is ending and thank you for playing scene after that. Basicly this game with all its DLC, is complete packace(there is Witcher and witcher 2, but these do not need to be playd to be able understand W3) Reddead2 vs w3, W3 wins for me always because story and story telling is more coherent and connected to story. While reddead is good and great game, its side quests do not feel connected the overall story. and for me thats why Witcher 3 is the game you should play, and compare rest to it. "welcome to my TED talk"

If you, guys, would like a kinda appetizing before this game I suggest you to watch the witcher serie (2 seasons) on Netflix - it's not long. It will give some backgound for the game (if you haven't played the first two games - and you haven't watched the serie yet, of course).

Well, I can't say for RDR2, but as for The Witcher... Oh boy, it's a long ride, but it's so totally worth it! One small thing though - I would suggest playing through the whole trilogy, if you haven't done 1 and 2 yet. The first game is quite rough around the edges, but overall it's one hell of a story across the three games. Speaking of epic trilogies to play - Mass Effect 1-3 (if you haven't checked it out). Probably on par with The Witcher, and a must play as well in the RPG genre.

Ah yes, The Witcher. Game of my life. Probably the only game that made me feel like a badass, laugh, cry, hate, love and so much more. Did it 100%, every marker, every spot, every side-quest, every mini-game. And at no point, contrary to some other games, it felt tiresome or repetetive. And while Doug Cockle has his moments as Geralt, Jacek Rozenek in PL version takes the cake. And. So. Many. Cameos. Unfortunately understandable only for us Poles, but it is so fun. I wish the first instalment would be remade in the new engine, because the story is just so good. Definitely better than the The Witcher 2. My advise though, for when you will decide to play. If you do play on PC, do install two mods - Auto Pick Up and Abilities Slots Unlock. Really good QOL mods.

FOR THOSE WHO HAVEN'T PLAYED THE WITCHER 3...i understand that you might think that monster killing is the most exciting....BUT TRUST ME everything in this game is more interesting than monster killing. monster killing is something that you do while getting to interesting stuff...THE STORRIES, THE CHARRACTERS THAT YOU ENGAGE WITH, THE SECRETS THAT YOU DISCOVER, REWARDS ,DELUSIONS...this game is SOOO MUCH MORE than just some monster killing.

The Witcher 3 including both expansions will easily take you 100+ hours (if you complete side content and don't just rush through the main story, which, in these games, would just be a wasteful approach!). So you should really only play it, if you have the time and are in the mood for a fantastic, long, complex storytelling experience. But if that mood catches you, the Witcher 3 might just be the best game out there.

One of the best games of all time, and one of the best examples of show, don't tell. Also that shovel in the trailer is one of the best weapons in the game... should you remember to pick it up. The game is indeed xbawx hueg, but there are no wasted moments and minutes, and you dealing with people that have their own agendas and issues. What you believe may help may not in the long term, and not everyone is as they seem... in fact the most honest people in the game are the ones that have nothing to hide, because anyone who could use that against them are dead or on the run.

Gawd Witcher 3 is a good game. Even though I own both DLCs, I've actually NEVER played EITHER of them. The last time I went back into the game for a fresh playthrough, I fully intended to do both DLCs for the first time but found myself getting a little side-objective-fatigued before I got to the appropriate level to start them lol. I'm entirely too completionist for my own good, and I found my motivation waning a bit after visiting like 400 little question mark map markers before I even got to Act 3 of the game lol. So I drifted away and played other things, STILL having not played the DLCs I originally set out to play lolol. Speaking of other gaming undertakings, apologies for not being very present on the channel lately! I had a week or so of mad rush to replay Horizon: Zero Dawn to get ready for when Forbidden West came out...and then I was whole-hog stuffed into THAT masterpiece lol. I'll have to try to make it into a stream again sometime soon, I miss y'all lol. :)

In case you give it another shot. I would recommend just doing the main & side quests as well as the witcher contracts. the treasure hunting is just padding really, so if you can resist the urge to 100% it then you'll enjoy it a lot more.

@@moganza I mean, I've 100%ed the base game before, it was just before I had the DLCs so I thought it'd be nice to do another run to do all that stuff too. AND it'd been so long since my last playthrough that I wanted to experience it all again. The thing is, there's a LOT to experience in the Witcher 3 lol. I agree, the meat of what makes the game great is in the story-related content way more than fishing out the 376th set of 3 barrels floating in Skellige, but dangit I'm a lootgoblin. I wanna get ALL that stuff lol. One day I'll revisit the game and try not to be so hung up on doing EVERYTHANG possible lol. There's just so MUCH, and not all of it is necessary.

@@ericmartin8870 Yeah I feel you. I used to be a completionist and it honestly felt like a curse lol. Fortunately I kinda got over it and would only 100% a game that i genuinely enjoyed. Not saying you're the same of course. Just sharing my personal experience.

@@moganza I mean in my case, it's like...I'm not really as into serious challenges as much as I used to be, so I like to do EVERYTHING I can in an area before moving on from that area. Yeah the issue with the Heart of Stone is that the main NPC there gets to "live forever" but he gets to live that way because his heart is effectively made of stone. Meaning he can't really feel anything. No love. No pity. No remorse. No empathy. No hate. Nothing. All he has is memories of feelings. A literal walking talking statute carved out of flesh, but no different than any stone mason creation. All experiences no matter how much they might have once meant to him are slowly reduced to mere memory of what it once made his pulse quicken and all new experiences are just novelties that are only interesting for their immediate moment. So close friends and family disappear into almost a shade even as they beg him to be who he once was and even murdering a loved one loses all meaning as no feeling passes through his stony heart.
