Good interview. That film needs to be seen before anyone can pass judgement. I stand with Jackie Walker and Chris Williamson.

Harry D'Amour 😡 As you mention ‘crimes against humanity’ without evidence, please provide detailed examples of such crimes. At the same time will you also do the same concerning the destruction of Yemen by the brutal Saudi regime? Perhaps not . . .

Live Free or Die ! 😡 What ‘massacres’ have you in mind, as you fail to give precise examples of any such events. Perhaps if you removed your bigoted blinkers you might see the world in reality, and not as your prejudices would want it to be.

Bif Webster 😖 Do you mean ‘Hebrew’ ? There never has been a specific ‘Semitic’ language. The word is used by students of language as a descriptor of a family of languages centred on the Middle East.
@LuisAldamiz5 жыл бұрын
Semitic: a language subfamily of Afroasiatic, including Arabic, Amharic, Tigrinya, Hebrew, Maltese, Aramaic, Tigre, Mehri and other lesser and extinct languages such as Akkadian, Phoenician, Amorite (Chaldean), etc. Semitism is not a thing AFAIK.

Anti-Semitism refers to Christian and Muslim programs regarding Jews: Slander. Exclude. Eliminate. Ignore professions of love of neighbors, peace on Earth. The cheapest of cheap slogans.
@LuisAldamiz5 жыл бұрын
@@jonlenihan4798 - Antisemitism, as used normally (if there's anything normal about this term) means prejudice against Jews. A wider possible usage would be prejudice against everything Semitic, for example Romans and Greeks against Phoenicians, modern Islamophobia, etc. In this last sense Israel is clearly Antisemitic, even if it is ideologically "Jewish" (i.e. European Jewish and acting as a European and now also American colony, as a new crusader state).

Support for equating anti-zionism with antisemitism is indirect support for ethnic cleansing, oppression, occupation and apartheid.

What’s missing in is a clear discussion of cause and effect. But some facts merit mention: * In the US, Steven Miller has been actively promoting the racialization of Central American asylum seekers, which is a head scratcher given all that’s outlined in this article. AIPAC has been mute. * David Frum just published an article in the Atlantic magazine arguing for the freezing of all US immigration. Sounds like he’s trying to confuse the public with the argument that will be used against the Palestinians’ right of return. “A country has the right to say no to immigration.” * US Neocons forced the Iraqi invasion/destruction, and in the process destabilizing the Middle Esast. Millions were displaced and millions have entered the Europe, while its economies have yet to recover from the 2008 US-driven economic recession * Netanyahu, US casino owner Sheldon Adelson et al engineered Jerusalem’s and most recently the Golan Heights land grab. Concurrently, some media headlines have been arguing there has been no reaction to the announcement to legitimize it . Really? * The Likud Party issued a manifesto announcing the unilateral appropriation of the occupied territories. * Bob Rubin & friends eliminated the Glass-Steagall Act, which allowed “Sandy Weill” to create a financial supermarket meant to stimulate market competitiveness. The ensuing looting caused the 2008 Great Recession & destruction of American families.

Joseph S Palestine is keeping itself imprisoned through its rejection of a 2 state solution ( multiple times ), if you're not willing to compromise you can't have a say
@hakanpetersson26625 жыл бұрын
@@Lucas-ec5db Are you for real? PLO has accepted the two-state solution as the path forward and has also recognized Israel. What you seem to be referring to is israeli proposals less than the palestinian territories occupied in 1967. Well, two can play this game: Israel has also rejected a two-state solution(multiple times). If you're not willing to compromise you can't have a say.
@Lucas-ec5db5 жыл бұрын
Håkan Petersson Israel hasn't rejected a 2 state solution, what it has rejected is total Palestinian domination of Israel, with the influence of the Arab world, Palestine wants nothing but full control and that is evident through their rejection of all 2 state solutions, put forward by Israel and the US. The arabs lost the land to the UK at the end of WW1 and then consequentially failed to recapture that land during the multiple Arab Israeli wars, most notably three Arab Israeli war, Palestine has been given its own land, that is self governed and Hamas is leaving all it civilians to die and then blaming Israel, Israel is no angel, and some of the things it has done are horrific but by no stretch of the imagination were they unprovoked on the justified occasions. I hope for the death of the "free Palestine" movement, and hopefully the birth of a "free the innocents" movement for the innocent victims of the conflict between 2 stubborn governments and 2 stubborn nations. The people are always the victims, but suicide bombings and petrol bombings don't alleviate that victimhood they suffer and it's about time they realised this
@hakanpetersson26625 жыл бұрын
@@Lucas-ec5db You are playing word games. It hasn't rejected all two-state solutions. There's documents to show this, both in negotiations with the Olmert Government as well as the Barak Government. The palestinian negotiation teams even made territorial compromises where Israel could keep land with most of the settlers in a land swap. Israel rejected those proposals. As it did with the Geneva Initiative, despite Mahmoud Abbas accepting it. In fact it is Israel that in word(!) has rejected a palestinian states right to exist for most of the last 52 years, except for a brief time during the Sharon/Netanyahu transitional years. In practise it always has, knowing that this word-salad-recognition will never come into physical fruition. The settlements onward expansions as well as annexation of East Jerusalem is proof to this. And what are you later on about? "Palestine has been given its own land,"? Surely you don't mean the palestinian state declared in 1988 by the PLO next to(!) Israel, that now has been recognized by some 137 states and has an Observer State Status in the UN? Because that state is still occupied by Israel. You're babbling on about palestinian terrorism, as if that terrorism has no background, or has no israeli counterpart. Are you at all aware that the IDF has been shooting and killing scores of civilians in Gaza this last year? Including such a massive threat as health care workers, reporters, shepherds, fishermen, children, farmers, protesters?
@Lucas-ec5db5 жыл бұрын
Håkan Petersson I never made a correlation between Palestine and terrorism, you did, I merely stated it exists in the nation, and Israel does not occupy the West Bank, yes it patrols its borders but no it does not occupy it, it has left the Palestinians to their own state, of which Hamas is destroying because they're hell bent on destroying Israel, they have no right to complain, they have their state, they can run it. And yes a lot of what the IDF does is morally questionable, but the second you assault a member of any military personnel, serving or not, you deserve everything that comes to you. Palestine has negotiated but always pulls out at the last second, because they don't have the right amount of land, take the West Bank and go. It's plain to see you're an anti Zionist, so I'd like to ask why ?

This can be an opportunity to form a powerful , legitimate democratic socialist party in Great Britain . I am a socialist materialist . What someone thinks, says , behaves(without depriving other adults of life, liberty or property - small "p" when it comes to private property for me at least) is besides the point . If we really want to create a legitimate from the grass roots up base which transcends what we believe and concentrates on distributing wealth fairly it can happen and be a major party which could coalesce with real labour , not tony blair's "new labour . We could also attract SNP party voters from Scotland . Various ethnic, colors and religious groups are divided by ideology and witch hunters . We must convince each other that what unites all of us from the middle class on down is our material basis of this life . Without it we live in misery and die . We have the numbers and we can win whether in the UK, the US, and elsewhere .

A Jew is any person who espouses the religion of Judaism regardless of their racial or ethnic background. Some of the most honest and trustworthy people you'll meet are Jewish. I personally believe that the first coming of The Messiah has already taken place. However it must be admitted that the teachings and conduct of people such as The Ultra Orthodox Jews are more in line with God's Will than those of perhaps the majority of people who claim to believe that Yeshua (Jesus in English) is The Messiah.
@LuisAldamiz5 жыл бұрын
Then Christians are Jews, and so are Muslims. A religious definition does not work because in the usual sense Jewish is someone with recent or known ancestry from people who believed in a particular branch of Judaism, Talmudic or Rabbinic Judaism, which is as such more recent than Christianity and not quite ancient Judaism which was mainstream in Palestine between c. 900 BCE to c. 100 CE.
@OurFreeSociety5 жыл бұрын
@Heroes - I disagree. There are TONS of Jews who don't follow religion & many Israelis who are atheists. Are you actually trying to tell us that you think that Ultra Orthodox Jews think that Jesus was the Messiah? LOL
