Im so sorry, but Aura has some horrendous reviews for Android users, regarding the User Interface and general communication with subscribers. It seems maybe this app is best for Apple users? I'd definitely avoid, or approach with extreme caution. 💙

To my witches who struggle with OCD--you do NOT have to make your craft look like everyone else's. It IS OKAY to not engage much with Law of Attraction and divination focused practices. Not everything is a "sign", and you do not need to constantly be on the lookout for them.

I highly recommend "The Witch’s Book of Self-Care" by Arin Murphy-Hiscock. Well, all of her books are wonderful, but this one specifically addresses self-care from a witchy perspective.

She was the first witchy book I got. It was a handed down gift for my 14th birthday. From a girl I had spoken to for only 2 weeks. But yes, I love her. I have the Wicca book. Even though I'm not wiccan anymore (pantheistic), it really inspired my start

I tried your tea bath and I am certain that it will be a staple in my life going forward. I felt so nourished and relaxed afterwards. I used dried rose buds, dried stinging nettle, dried chamomile, and fresh dandelions. I also added a bit of organic epsom salt. It was beautiful!

My selfcare is locking myself in my room with a do not disturb sign, lighting my favorite incense and a candle, putting on some Native American flute music, grab a crystal or two, and meditate. Afterwards I may pull a few tarot cards, and then make sure I get my 3 quarts a day in of water or herbal tea. 😎✌️♥️♣️♦️♠️🧿🔮🪄

I don't have a tip to share, but a concept I try to live by now. Let self-care take as long as it takes. I went through a lot of years feeling like good, healthy self-care was somehow selfish and I didn't deserve the time it would take. That's really not true, though. I've come to think self-love is one of the most important things we can ever learn. Thanks for another lovely video and I hope you get to feeling better.

I really like your videos.. I have been drawn to the craft for over 22 years, I just recently had a HUGE burnout, fell out of practice for a very long time, but I am back now after having had a massive heart attack last March and having to have a stent in my right coronary artery, I feel more connected now than I ever did before for some reason.. I had a lot of people telling me I was wrong in the way that I believed and that I would go to hell if I did not believe in the one true God.. All i know is I feel complete when I am out in nature, I love being outside, talking walks in the woods, going down to the creek bed, planting flowers, planting a garden, growing herbs, harvesting, etc..It took me a very long time to realize that there is no wrong way to believe, as for the one way and the only way, it does not exist.. Thank you for being you and for this channel, I am an avid watcher..

Thank you for inspiring to me to learn herbalism! It's been a great addition in my life I've always wanted to try and never had the guts to (as someone with a chronic illness that prevents me from being out in nature for too long). Taking it slow and making sure to take care of myself has been an important process in that.

i'm currently going through a very dark time. I've never felt so bad and am really struggling just living through the days. Luckily i'm also in therapy rn. I just recently started getting into witchcraft again and this mental down is really standing in the way of feeling all the little magical moments that life has to offer. So thank you so much for making this video! I'll definetly try some of this out to gently bring some happy magic moments back into my life. I really want to do some chamomile and lavender honey since i have a lot of these dried. One thing i'm struggling with though is collecting things from nature. I also live in the city and my herb garden for my balkony is only in the planning Phase right now. I just don't know where to collect things... Mostly because I live in a country where every little square is owned by someone and collecting things from others properties is illegal (or rather frowned upon when someone sees you doing it. They probably wont call the police... but yeah i dont want to get a bad image here)
@HollyOak
@HollyOak 2 жыл бұрын
Good on you for being in therapy and taking the steps you need to take, to heal. So many people don't do it and taking those steps is courageous. Would it be possible to go to places where you like the plants and just ask people if they mind you taking some? Or if you feel you can do it, maybe make them some biscuits/cookies to give in exchange? I know that can also feel like too much when depressed, so only a suggestion :) The other thing to remember, when you live in a city is, people often spray chemicals on plants to keep weeds or insects away. If the plants are sprayed, it's really not a good idea to use them if you plan to ingest them. Wishing you well with the plans for your herb garden.

@@HollyOak Thank you!! I think i could theoratically ask people... but i'm very awkward and shy so i think i can't do that. And yes the chemicals are also a problem... I actually used to live on the country side but even there i could only collect things in the garden. Everywhere else was close to crops which are being sprayed too. Or on pathways where people walk their dogs all the time so this wasnt an option either. Maybe i can ask some of my family who still lives on the countryside if i can get some things from their gardens

@@Lea-np8rs Great idea! Yes, perhaps start with small steps & ask a family member, someone trusted, where the risk of asking is small. I too am not able to grow or forage my own herbs at this time, so I am planning to buy a few herbs thru the mail, to use to make salves, teas and herbal oils. It's a step & it will give me joy. Perhaps next year i will be able to grow. Wishing you healing & peace. Be gentle & kind with yourself. That is true self-care and self-love. ONE Breath at a time.

Just tending them is so soothing, even when fighting spider mites or the dry heat of central CA. Also, can't recommend Annie's patreon (Juniper tier!) enough. I'm taking Tyrosine which is aminoacid that supports the dopamine production. Dopamine is a neurotransmitter that has a big role in the reward center of our brains, which is the main source of our motivation. Combined with taking a ride on my bicycle in my surrounding nature it helps me very much to get motivated and energized in general. Sport is known for its Dopaminerelease. Also turmeric and Johannis herbs are known for his effects on depression. It also helps me to get entertained by magical movies, because some part of my depression was based on boredom. I also did many prayers regarding spirits I have chosen from a grimoire. Also things that corresponds with the fire element helped me. And Movie music also helped me a lot, because some Movie themes sounds very motivative to me. In the end, all what is good for you and brings you some happiness is supportive and helps.

sounds like you have one of I like to call Demons in this case it would be the Procrastination Demons in your head the one that says I have other things to worry about or i don't have the time but then when you question it and do what you want anyway the Demon gets quieter everything is all good hehe it feels soo good when I stop acknowledging what those types of what I call Demons whisper , the doubts you cant do this right now do it later but later never comes lol All of the suggestions said are great because lack of a better phrase here they all will ground a person and its all good when a person does something then looks at the time and it has been hours later but it feels like a few minutes and the whole time felt good
