I have something like 20 WIPs going. I wanted to finish them before christmas . . . Nope. I got 1 finished. I keep making big things and get myself cornered by WIP monsters 😂. I am trying really hard not to start new projects but i would absolutely start your Barbie test if you choose me. 😁

Just today I visited our local bookstore with my wife and while being antisocial and knitting on a sock while she shopped, two of the employees sat down with me and started chatting me up about knitting. One of them is also a knitter and another employee there spins so I’m going to try to get over my discomfort with socializing and join their spinning group. I’d love to learn to spin in 2024 😊🐑

I'm so impressed with everything that you've made, even with all the injuries and illness! 😮 Looking forward to hanging out at the stables more 🐴🦄 My craft goals for the year are to (finally) mend all my clothes (read: jeans), one thing a week until it's all done and can be worn again! I also really want to get into quilting, and bra making. And of course more yarn dyeing dates 🥰

I want to be more mindful in my crafting next year - this year has been the year of excess and indulging myself which has meant I have a ridiculous number of WIPs and a yarn stash that feels uncomfortable to me, so I want to finish off my WIPs and knit from stash. I’m also hoping to start my own KZbin channel to document it!!

So, during December I tried something new. Upholstery. Sort of. My girlfriend's cousin and his son have been restoring a 1985 Chevy truck. My girlfriend and I re-upholstered the dash and just finished one of the door panels today. Gotta wait until he brings the second one. I wasn't a fan of it, because of the foam used under the vinyl. And the vinyl was a pain in the butt too. For things I'd love to try, wood working. Same cousin has a lot of tools because he made his cabinets and a few other things for his house and he's offered to show me how to use them. And spinning. That's another thing I think I'm ready to finally try. Oh! And for some reason I've been really into jewelry making lately too.

Oooh, that sounds so cool tho, even if it wasn't a great project to work on bc of the foam. Still a neat thing to have tried! Omg yes, go for it, wood is such a great material, and different kinds of wood are totally different. I hope you'll have all the fun with it! And the spinning! 🌸❤️

I really want to try more textured knits this year, i am very afraid of cables and lace work, but i would love to expand my skills and learn a bit about either! Im so glad you are able to spin pain free thanks to your supports now. If youre still having trouble with your wheel, maybe you can find someone to trade for an e-spinner. I use one thats 3D printed and it works pretty okay for taking a little bit of the repetitive movement load off my thumbs and wrists. Mine is an EEW nano, and it was pretty affordable compared to most.

Ohh, fun! Lace looks intimidating, but it's really fun to work - I hope you'll love it! I have been looking at the EEW nano before, actually. It seems like a great option! Thanks!

Sign me up for the Barbie cowl test knit! 🙋‍♀️ me me me 😂 I would love to test your Barbie cowl. I usually dont like christmas projects but your cardigan looks amazing. I love patchwork projects. I will be sure to show you my utterly bonkers blanket that i have in progress. Colours EVERYWHERE! 🤣 Prym have ergonomic crochet hooks and knitting needles that might help you out a lot. I like them.
