Watching Manish ji talk is always a pleasure. How PVR Narasimha Rao ji and Manish Pandit ji have gone along with each other I think they are like Arjun and Krishna combination. I just couldn't tell who is Krishna and Who is Arjun ❤️❣️❤️❣️

I didn’t understand most of what was being talked about. However, I am amazed at the extent of research people like Dr.Pandit have put in on a slippery subject like this. This is great service to Hinduism. We all know that now there is enough evidence to show that Ramayana and Mahabharata are actual events. But efforts like these would bring us that much closer to a convergence of what was considered‘fiction’ till a few years back and scientific proof. I have one request to Shree Iyer. Please provide us with an introduction to the subject elucidating some of the basic concepts on which there is an agreement so that we are able to follow what is being said - for eg the different calendars, significance of ‘paksh’ ‘thithi’ etc, position of certain stars, significance of certain events like Parikshat’s meet-up with Kali or Balram’s pilgrimage etc. Thanks a lot for this wonderful exposition and ‘koti pranams to Dr.Pandit and his erudite scholarship 🙏

If one pays close attention to the answer given to the choice of ephemeris (JPL DE 431) was answered perfectly by Dr Manish Pandit(39:52). This shows how meticulously the research has been conducted by taking the correct ephemeris, which some recent researchers, unfortunately, have not been cognizant in terms of this foundational choice of choosing the most accurate ephemeris hence their calculations are full of errors. In essence, this proves how 3067BCE date has been arrived at by taking into account all the factors carefully, as academic research should take place in the first place. Once again thank you so much Shree S Iyer(via PGurus) and Dr. Manish Pandit(through his research and other Nobel endeavors), to bring out the true 'Itihasa' of Bharat and doing this on behalf of every Indian.

This was definitely a special interview Shree. One thing that caught my eye was the sadhana practice and japas. You should have a hangout with someone who is trained in these things and who can help demonstrate their techniques and efficiency. It will probably be of practical use to people as well

Dr Pandit, Dr Oak and others may differ on exact dates but for a practicing Hindu it is sufficient to know that Lord Krishna is both historical and mythical and that Mahabharata war and Kali Yuga dates back to beyond 5000 years.

@@enjoyparents When we talk of time span of 5000 years, myths tend to seep in to embellish History without altering its basic character. If the word mythology is allergic, we can always substitute it by folklore. To me as a Hindu, it is gratifying to know that Krishna exists in many dimensions: historical, mythical and in popular folklore.

There was 1 Dr.P.V.Vartak from Pune who too has given timeline of Mahabharata viz 16th October 5561 BC . Maharashi Vyas has written in Mahabharata that what was position of Sun , Stars & Planeteary position when the Mahabharata war started. He has even mention that seasons have shifted by months . As Per him January was a month when Monsoon season use to start 5000 years ago .

Are you aware that in 5561 BC, Nilesh Oak shows that the war ends on Pushya/Ashlesha nakshatra (instead of Shravana) and the pilgrimage starts on Uttarashaddha and the timeline has been reversed?

In puran story kaliyug asks parikshit permission to enter his kingdom. That would suggest kaliyug wasn’t there during Mahabharat war. In Nilesh oak case shir pandit is taking objection of the fact that Balram pilgrimage doesn’t match. That’s ok but what about the astronomical planetary positions taken by oak? Can the word nimita be derived in any other way? Interesting views of both these people. Shri oak should be called for his views. Also both these champions are having a real good debate in Sagam talks channel in the dating of Mahabharata series. Anyone interested can watch it. 3 parts are already out.

Even after the Kaliyuga started, a Dharmic monarch like Parikshit could ward off its workings to a substantial extent. That is the message of that allegorical story. It has no impact on the determination of the epoch.

I just started listening to the video, and wanted to post this message before I hear the whole conversation. Mahabharata happened 3500 years ago in the time of Krishna, and Shiva was alive around 7000 years ago from today. Now lets see what these people have got on the timeline.

@@anokun7 Rama did pooja of Shiva. He didn't know anything about Krishna. Ravana was also a Shiva Bhakta. So they were in between. But the problem with how they are telling the date is that it doesn't tell clearly how long ago was that date? I don't know what does 3000BC means? For example does that mean 5020 years ago? Of course not. but then what does that mean? They should have explained it.

@@AmitKumar-qh1ts I do not know about MahaShiva. But I do know that scientifically Shri Rama has been dated to be around 12500 BCE. Shri Krishna has been dated to 5600 BCE, so about 7600 years ago. Parashurama and other things are much older and not researched conclusively yet.

On how Kurukshetra can happen around Kali Yuga : One Maha Yuga = 12000 human years or 12000 Deva years i.e 4.32 million years (12000x360), depending upon expert view a Sanathani trusts. Which ever view, there is PURVA (P) and UTTARA (U) YUGA SANDHI. So: Kritha Yuga = 4800 years incl P&U of 400 each. Thretha Yuga = 3600. Incl P&U 300 each. Dwapara Yuga = 2400. Incl P&U 200 each. Kali Yuga = 1200, Incl P&U 100 each. Kurukshetra falls well within the last 200 years of Dwapara Uttara Sandhi with Kali Yuga i.e Kali slowly starts manifesting itself in Dwapara Uttara Sandhi period. So Krishna saying at end of Kurukshetra "Kali has started" or Parikshith meeting Kali Purusha makes sense. Also note a belief - Karna is Dwapara Purushavathara handing time to Duryodhana who is Kali Purushavathara. Vandhe Matharam Jai Shri Ram

Mahabharata may have happen just like Troy. But it may not be the same as mentioned in the text many minor or major character may not even existed. We don't have evidence that Krishna existed . We have found chariot and graveyard in sanauli UP and found it was a town mentioned in Mahabharat but the warriors were buried they were not cremated so the culture of the warriors who fought in Mahabharat war is different from what mentioned in the texts

Dr Pandit is a medical doctor, and not PhD, even as Nilesh Oak. Is there any astronomical evidence? If there is, then it must be considered as the best evidence. Main discussion should be around astronomy, and Nilesh Oak must be invited to comment, and his view should be shown as incorrect conclusively.

Yes, Shri Krishna had a "cunning" side but the word cunning is not to be taken in the true sense of the world. Again, one of the many shortfalls of English language. You need to learn about Chandra Graha who is connected to Shri Krishna, you will know His nature.
