This scene proves exactly who Spider-Man is. A Hero unbounded with Nothing left to lose and will fight to the very end to keep his family, love ones, and his City safe. Like Superman who is beacon of Hope, Spider-Man is a beacon of Responsibility.

0:49 idk why but that part always makes me so sad, I think because he’s just a good man trying to teach his son a lesson and it’s one of the last times Peter ever sees him In my opinion Uncle Ben is one of, if not the the most important character in Marvel Comics because without him, without those words, Spider-Man would never have been born The writers for Spectacular Spider-Man just understood the source material so well. They managed to make the silver age stories/origins work in the modern times and also made shot for shot references from the comics and the Rami films, absolutely brilliant

“Uncle Ben” made poor points, especially in the friends category. The Conners fired Pete’s ass for taking pictures of Curt’s lizard problems. Eddie became a psychotic jerk that nearly got Mj in a bike crash. Harry took goblin steroids because Pete didn’t help him study. Jameson is constantly throwing sh%t at Peter for wearing a costume. Flash apparently was friends with Peter at one point until they both grew up. Felicia flat out just told him to f%%% off for letting her dad stay in prison. And Norman tried to kill him! The only decent people were Liz, Gwen and May. And Peter blew Liz off just to be with Gwen, who was still dating Harry at the time.

SPOILERS AHEAD It's worth remembering the circumstances behind a lot of those. The Connors fired Peter because they thought that he ran off on helping them just to make some cash, Eddie ended up losing basically everything because of Peter and Spider-man, Harry had an overbearing father hanging over him constantly acting disappointed, Jameson was willing to pay a 15 or 16 year-old kid good money for pictures, Flash is the one that tipped Peter off that he was acting like a jerk, Felicia's reaction is, if not justified, at least understandable, and at this point, Peter doesn't know that Norman is the Green Goblin. None of that excuses any crimes or dismisses any problems that it added to Peter's life, but not only are these still people that Peter cares about, they're people that he has fairly real relationships with, with all the ups and downs that that comes with, especially when, from their perspectives, Peter's always flaking out and only worried about himself.

You're wrong about some points: Jameson actually cares about Parker, is Spiderman that he hates and Flash while he was an asshole, this whole scene is taking place because of Flash.

Gotta remember that Venom is a metaphor for a drug, it was an escape for Peter, where he finally decided to stop acting heroic and more selfish but Flash called him out on his shit and that's when he realised he needs to stop this negative victim mindset. Yeah, the symbiote only amplified its host thoughts and feelings but Peter can sulk or go through hell and keep going.
