Great name! Just changed my wife's oil and replaced the oil filter cover with billet aluminum one.

Thanks! Just the ease of using a socket instead of the fluted filter wrench makes it worth it!

Hey Mike, I have a question if you have a minute. Just doing a transmission fluid swap and went to get the car up to temp for the second fill. You are supposed to row the car through each gear as well. But I can only get 1,2, and R. Does that sound right?
@TheWrenchLab4 жыл бұрын
Is the car on a lift or 4 jack stands? If not, it has something to do with the wheel speed sensors on the front not detecting any speed. It won't let you out of those gears. Just like when you're in manual mode at a stop light, it won't let you start from 3rd gear.

Also!!! Make sure the car is running and up to temp when you do the final fill! If not, you'll be about 1L short and it could cause damage.

Yeah, just put it back on the ground, but just those gears. Is rowing through all of them mandatory? One of the other videos the guy showed rowing through all gears in his garage, not a 235 though
@TheWrenchLab4 жыл бұрын
Yes, you're supposed to go through all the gears. You can drive it a short distance if needed to go through the gears but make sure it's running when you do final fill.

@@TheWrenchLab Hey man just figured I'd update you. I ended up taking a quick ride around the block and getting through all the gears. Ended up topping off like 5 degrees over temp but I think it will be ok. Anyways just order a pure stage 2 so all of the work I did was great practice to get in there and get familiar. I feel pretty confident going into this install. Been chatting with some of the other guys in the group and refered you. Do you use Facebook at all? I basically just use it for this M235 group, you should join in, I think your expertise would be appreciated. Understandable if fb isn't you thing Cheers Jack
