Mcebo articulates well the struggles of Black students especially at tertiary level. The saddest part is that these struggles were soo normalised to an extent that I think our parents would be shocked/hurt to hear them being articulated in this manner. We don't really thank the student governing bodies enough for the sacrifices they made because they were also registered students with their own struggles, but they were willing to put themselves in the frontline and fight for students rights. We need to do better. Government and the private sector really need to do better. We cannot be having students in 2024 still with the same struggles we suffered. Thank you for this episode, Mr Mashabela🙏🏾

I think as Africans we need to talk about our obsession with voting. We over estimate the impact of a vote in Africa. In the continent, when its election time people die and the winners then go against the very wishes of the voters. You see people in shacks being used to vote but they never leave those dire conditions. Worse still, elections are always backed by Europe...they fund and send observers.... Ask yourself why. I'm not saying people must not vote...but at this point, a national dialogue is more pressing than a vote. Best wishes South Africa this 2024!!!!
