@rlmobile66432 ай бұрын
@@onyinyeakachukwueze3058 That's one way to look at it given things are not adequately organised/planned in Nigeria for the masses. When applying for a simple driving lic in most develop nations, there is a checkbox for the applicant to tick if they like to donate certain organ upon death. These countries have invested heavily in the medical real estate/infrastructure and laws are put in place by elected legislators to protect these infrastructure. these laws are regularly updated to meet with current time. the truth is that, we should STOP accepting mediocre from our leaders, leave sentiments out of our reality and always call a spade, a spade. Do you know how many ppl dies in Nigeria because of lack of basic medical infrastructure? I can bet there is no adequate one in place to account for that either. These leaders fails to understand the ramifications of their actions/polices on their grandchildren (who might not inherit/see the wealth they cannot take along with them to their maker)

I heard a rumor that the same Senator Ekweremadu used his position as a senator then to collect a contract that is worth millions of dollars to build a hospital in his hometown, but he syphoned the whole money, and never built anything. I also heard another story about how he refused to sponsor his brother that was sick and dying, and needed some money for treatment, but he refused and the brother later died from that sickness. I don't know if all these allegations are true or false, but everyone should always know that Karma is real, and not fake.

In all of these, I have always had one question that has never gotten an answer. Every kidney donor needs a regular aftercare that must be strictly followed and the level of stress will have to reduce. Then my only question to the Ekweremadus is, What was the aftercare arrangements made for this young man after donating his kidney and returning to Nigeria?

@lolaadesina5362Ай бұрын
Thank God he was caught in Britain and not in Nigeria. Where did he get £100k pounds to spend on his daughter's sickness per year? It's the money that was meant for the future of the millions of children under his constituency who are now doomed to a life of misery, crime and hate. That's the funds he diverted for his personal use. Causing a ripple effect of problems for those Nigerians in other parts of the country who have watched their neighborhoods overtaken by strangers seeking economic opportunities far away from the south east. Cos people like ekweremadu and his friends have embezzled public funds. No sinner will go unpunished. It's the same attitude that gave him the wrong idea that his daughter's life was worth more than that of a street urchin. It's not! Thank God he was caught

@tochnotАй бұрын
Wow, I can not believe this happened... To get a kidney in the UK is free (if you understand the healthcare system in terms of how it works), but one has to wait in line (queue). I guess they did not want to wait in the queue for a donor due to how their daughter's health had deteriorated. Praying and waiting would have been far better than this (now experiencing jail life). I pray the daughter gets a donor soon. I also hope people should stop tricking innocent or desperate people from selling their organs because the after care is more costly than going through the surgery of which the donor could die from and not live to enjoy the money (they are paid) if the aftercare is not provided by the hospital who carried out the surgery on such a donor.

Why do some of these commentators struggle to unequivocally condemn the Ekweremadus' evil deeds? Is it fear and/or a desire for monetary benefits from the oppressors? Would the self-styled empath of a journalist have been so understanding if Daniel had been one of her close relatives? Would the narrator have been sympathetic if Daniel were a child of his? This is why Nigeria is the way it is. If a British MP had done the same, UK society would have universally condemned the act. Our poverty mentality is probably at play. It is conceivable that Daniel would have been dead or seriously ill now without aftercare funding. Calling out wrongs is not being judgemental or insensitive. It is being just. Long live Daniel, long live Sonia.
