That's amazing! I used my WS card last week to withdraw cash from Chase bank in the US, and I did not get the $3.50 USD fee refunded 😞

wow really? Is this really a luck thing then? There has to be a reason

@@lispmanfinance Luck, or WS MC has a deal with that bank or asian banks in general. Regardless, good on you! I still have few complaints regarding my WS MC, and use it exclusively as my travel account.

Can also always contact them to ask. Their customer service is pretty good

WS is the best, too bad they do not allow Canadian Expats to maintain accounts though. If you are overseas for more than 6 months they will shut down your accounts. Hopefully they change that policy soon!
@lispmanfinance18 сағат бұрын
Most banks/financial institutions in Canada do that.

@@lispmanfinance I think Questrade will allow it.

WS, or any bank for that matter, cannot tell if you are out of the country for more than six months. They can only presume that you are if only foreign transactions and no Canadian ones have been made on your account. The workaround is to throw a Canadian transaction into the mix. Worst case scenario is to top up a friend's Canadian Amazon gift card balance with the minimum $5 twice a year. Problem solved.
