Pranking Scammers ft. Mark Rober

Kolkata Sector 5 is the telephone scam capital of the world. Although I've reported lots of scam call centers there, nothing seems to happen. So what could be better than turning up at these call centers armed with (harmless) devices which will get the attention of these scam groups and hopefully the rest of the world.
Thanks to the engineering skills of Mark Rober and the to Trilogy Media who made the trip to India to confront the scammers themselves, we managed to film a set of pranks via the scammers' own CCTV cameras.
Although this is having some fun at the expense of scammers, this is a serious problem. Millions of dollars are lost to these scammers and the police in Kolkata do very little to shut down these call centers, so it would be great if people shared these videos and tweeted @KolkataPolice
Let's hope we can make a "shut down" video before long. In the meantime, enjoy....

What you should do is have someone discreetly install loudspeakers above their ceiling tiles so that when a scammer gets scared and asks where you are you can tell the entire call center, "I AM EVERYWHERE."

Stuff like that can ruin Jim's operation unfortunately, he tries his best to mess with scammers without them being suspicious that their operations is being tapped in. @@dlobelow760 While I perfectly agree with you that these scammers should be severely prosecuted for their crimes and while I usually watch Jim's videos with delight, we also have to bear in mind that people from other parts of the World do not have the same set of standards and morals you and me have in common. Different circumstances and environments produce different people and different cultures. When you've lived in poverty for most of your life, regret and moral integrity are probably the last of your concerns. Being opportunistic however is highly valued, even if it means selling your soul to the devil. While this doesn't excuse their poor life choices, it helps explain why they got to the point they're at and it also helps understand how they can get out of this situation. Unfortunately, it is up to the indian People to sort things out from a societal point of view. But their caste system, corrupted institutions and crazy demographics aren't helping.

Jim and the others located a 4th scam center aside from the 3 he's talking about here, and it's been shut down since (they withheld their information as to not tick them off to their imminent downfall). Other than that most scam centers in India closed down for a few days following this event, and that made them lose about 2 mil as a result nationwide, according to the rate they're scamming people out of their money anyway. Now those 3 and the rest are mostly unscathed as far as their "business" is going on though, thanks to corrupt law enforcement (EDIT: As far as I know).

The Indian government even send an investigation team to Kolkata to probe police corruption, the state police arrested the CBI ( equivalent of FBI) team. What to do.
