Within Temptation - Caged Cover

Hey everyone! I decided to take a little breather from promoting the album (which is still available for pre-order on my website, 😉). The truth is, I really needed to revisit my metal roots, and what better way than to do a one-take vocal cover of Within Temptation “Caged”?
This song is a beast for me to sing-it calls for a much lighter, witchy, twangy sound than what I usually go for, there’s an evil sound in the choruses that demands a higher larynx placement! It’s definitely a challenge, but so worth it.
Oh, and keep an eye out for some funny Sharon-style dancing in there! You can’t hear my speaking voice, but trust me, I’m totally taking the mick out of myself. It’s important to find the fun in things sometimes, right?
And talking of metal, some of you have asked about Crown Solace… Don’t worry, we’re still very much alive! We’re working on a ton of stuff behind the scenes in preparation for a very big announcement. Stay tuned-big things are coming!
