Thank you sharing your enthusiastic, enjoy the ride personalities. Your videos are wonderful and I like the slower pace, take it all in demeanor. Your photography is beautiful and happy you show picnic areas and places eat along the way. We are over 70 and recently got ebikes and have been looking for paved trails to try. It's nice to see before you go so you know what to expect. Inverness is going to the top of our list to ride. I am hoping to find a site that will tell us where we can get on the trails and maybe places to stay over that are bike friendly and safe. Thanks again for sharing.

It’s a Pilated wood packer. We have them here on our property in brooksville, just south of Croom and withLacoochee. They are the biggest woodpecker as well as take up a home base or area of 2 or so square miles. They are big and beautiful. Not super common either.

I used to live right off the bottom end of that trail and know it intimately. It has some really woodsy sections down in the south section, and I’ve seen deer, huge gopher tortoises, wolves, raccoons, coral snakes, rabbits, and too many squirrels to count. Can’t say enough good things about this trail. Suggest you put in down south where Florida 50 intersects and go as far north as you want. That trailhead is five minutes east of I75 exit 301. Get an early start in summer and it’s much cooler.

I've seen most of this trail, but the majority of times I've been on it has been from Inverness and either as far north as Holden, or as far south as Floral City. One time I rode from a bike shop almost within Pineola (they moved to Floral City) and rented a recumbent bike going almost as far south as Croom.

Oh wow! I would love to ride the trail on a recumbent. That would be awesome! We’re looking forward to going back there soon. Thanks so much for watching!

Thank you so much! I haven’t seen anything posted in any of our local bike groups, but I just messaged them for a date. I’ll let you know as soon as I hear, but it seems like it’s usually the last Saturday of March.

Question do you pack extra tube or patch kit when biking 30 miles ,
@TroyandAndrea2 жыл бұрын
Oh yes! I always carry a tool/repair kit: spare tubes, patch kit, CO2, pump, tire levers and a multitool. Any bike ride can become a very long walk home if you have a problem while out.
