Peace 🙏♥️🙏 Hebrews 1:1-4 English Standard Version The Supremacy of God's Son 1 Long ago, at many times and in many ways, God spoke to our fathers by the prophets, 2 but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed the heir of all things, through whom also he created the world. 3 He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature, and he upholds the universe by the word of his power. After making purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high, 4 having become as much superior to angels as the name he has inherited is more excellent than theirs.

God is clearly seen in everything and deep inside we all know that God created everything (Psalm 104) yet many choose not to glorify, thank or even acknowledge God. We also know that we must all die and meet God, as Judge or Savior. God's wrath is against all ungodliness and unrighteousness that suppresses the truth. By breaking the first commandment and denying God, idolizing anyone or anything other than God leads to mankind being enthroned as the ruler of his own universe and that leads to practices designed to satisfy himself but does nothing more than destroy him. The more people give into sin the more it becomes easier to do it again and becomes harder to acknowledge it as sin anymore until they become callous to it. What restrains sin is self-interest, societal-interest and religion but what truly eradicates sin is the gospel of Christ. The gospel is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes. God bless you and have a blessed day saints.

And yet God proclaims that every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father. This is the fulfilment of the original covenant God made within the Trinity 'Let us make Mankind in our Image'. This really is Good News, believe the Gospel and live a life worthy of the one who calls us. Romans 11v32-36 Grace and Peace.

Alistair, will you do a sermon on divorce and remarriage? I hear of Christian bible teaching speakers getting remarried and I cringe. Currently we have a friend who divorced his wife and is marrying a woman after less than a year of his divorce- he has 5 children whom he tells to call her mom. Their mother is alive and is a Christian. He professes to be Christian but I believe he is in a cultish church. He is VERY active there...as is the fiance. The pastor is a woman and encourages divorce as a escape from troubles(I personally am a victim-my husband divorced me 2 years ago after going to that church.) After lots of prayer for him to have discernment he left that church and goes to a bible teachng church and hangs on every word of your teaching online-with his own searching and reading of bible too of course! We are back together and plan to remarry through the work of God! Online I see churches saying "JESUS" allowed for divorce when it was actually moses who had loophole to protect women in that time from hardened hearts of men. We want to help stear our friend away from blowing up his family and helping them to reconcile. All the help we can get through sermons will be appreciated!

God undoubtedly s directly involved in his judgement against human sin. His punishment is a manifestation of his wrath toward sin which corrupts his good creation and leads it to death and futility. However the question we must ask is whether that punishment is timoria (purely retributive) or kolasis (restorative). Matthew 25 tells us it is aionias kolasis (chastisement of that age). Eternal punishment is a poor translation of this and leads many to despair because it misreprents the character of God as Jesus presented him, our Father in Heaven. We are called to live lives worthy of such a God not to obey him out of fear. The Gospel is Good news for all people (without exception, not without distinction) Rom 11v32-36 - Grace and Peace.

So Judas won't face eternal damnation? Just wondering if I'm understanding you correctly? 🙏😊🙏
@stephengorman102510 ай бұрын
Mt 19v27-30 yes he will face judgement (as will we all) but eternal does not mean never ending but refers to a quality of punishment which is not simply retributive but also restorative. This is the renewal of all things that Jesus speaks about (Apokatastasis) and is the hope of the Gospel. Who are the 12 sitting on the 12 thrones judging the 12 tribes of Israel? Grace and Peace.
