I don't believe this for a second. Janelle's biggest fault is trusting Kody blindly. People have been saying for years that the entire loan would have to be paid or the property would be forfeit. If Janelle was such a savvy schemer, would she have ended up in the financial situation she did? I'm sure Kody lied about the payoff the same way he lied to Christine about Truley becoming a ward of the state. We also have to remember that when the transactions occurred, the wives still had the polygamous Kody knows best mindset. I also think we need to stop short of accusing Janelle of intentionally trying to mislead Meri. If there is one thing we know about this show, it is that production often gives us a very slanted view of what is actually going on in this family. Since Janelle and Meri do not even have a relationship, I strongly suspect that production concocted that conversation in order to get a juicy moment. Otherwise, I'm not sure that those two would have even discussed it.

At this point it is Meris fault, she has been giving them money for years, the same amount as everyone else in percentages, and took the bullying about how much she wanted from the family account because she only had one child, so she pays the same or more but is entitled to less because of the one child, ok, then this, she’s been played by them all for so long with people telling her what they are doing, it’s her own fault, she is allowing it at this point, she didn’t do anything,

Meri is still keeping her head in the sand about her former husband and sister wives. She will continue to allow Kody to suck the life out of her while she works her butt off for her money and Robyn and Kody laugh all the way to the bank. It’s a tangled web they all weaved and nothing surprises me. I would love to know how they divided the money into the “family” pot. Meri probably paid in the same amount even though she only had one child. I wonder if this goes back to Meri getting a big house in Vegas. The women were so upset that Meri was getting the same size house. When we all know they were tract homes roughly the same size.

Kody is suckering both of them out of more money. Idk where Janelle got this strong, independent label from. She didn’t have the courage to speak up for herself, never mind speaking up for her sister wives. Her and Meri are the same that way. Why would anyone invest more money into a property they’ve already lost so much into. They are both being suckered out of more money. I’d be surprised if they get half of their investment back. Regarding the lines for each parcel of land, originally he lines were drawn so that Kody was going to get the pond. Each wife had their property. So, if the lines for each parcel were set, legally, how was anyone (Kody) able to go and change those parcel/property linees after Christine left? This does make sense to me. What or who gave Kody LEGAL PERMISSION to just decide who gets what? According to the records NOBODY should just be able to changes the property/parcel lines at their whim.

I always assumed Janelle probably contributed most to the family funds, so she might not feel bad when she had the original land assignment. I also think Janelle looks at the biggest picture in polygamy--she wants that planet! 😅😂 So, endure until the end and YOU GET A PLANET! I also think she's learned to become detached from her emotions. When you're constantly spinning your wheels and wasting energy with a narc, it's easy to detach and let that narc spin his energy somewhere else. That's why we see Robyn labeled as "shy" and she's piped down. And she looks worn down. Because she has Kody 24/7 now.

I don’t think Meri was defrauded at all. She knew what she was getting in to, we don’t know any details of their original agreement. Maybe they all agreed to put the same amount in no matter how much land was in their name. Meri likely thought when it was sold they would split it the same way. She just wasn’t smart enough at the time to not only not trust them, but know how important it is to have things in your name as well. That’s a mistake many make, especially women.

Janelle knew she had to tell Meri something in order to attempt to get Meri to cooperate. Janelle definitely didn't want to lose her investment, and was looking out for Meri who had no clue about ANYTHING unless Kody told her.

Janell was telling maeri to protect herself and get a lawyer...if she had followed Janells advice the lawyer would have told Meri the facts so she could decide for herself if she wanted to pay more and risk the investmebt...it is not Janells job to make Meri understand finances..m
