Hey friends, When I stated that Mykelti had a c-section, I wasn't implying that she didn't give birth. I was trying to state the method of the birth.. KZbin won't allow me to say "vaginal" and I thought if i said "natural" people who have had c-sections would be offended. So I was trying to find a way to make the distinction without offending anyone and apparently I've offended people. I have zero interest in the hate women get for the birth they have. I don't care if someone has a c-section, vaginal birth, medicated or unmedicated birth. My only concern is for the safety of the baby and women. I do not agree with unassisted home births due to the extreme danger this puts the woman and baby in. Beyond that method, I am supportive of birth. I don't understand why women feel shamed for having c-sections. I wish my birth would have been a c-section. I spent 4 hours pushing due to my son having shoulder dystocia. Had the doctors done an ultra sound they would have seen that he was not not in the proper position. Unfortunately, my birth was preterm and occurred before positioning was determined. If doctors had known that he was sideways, they would have stopped the labor and taken me to the OR. Instead, I suffered through horrific back labor, constant vomiting and an epidural that did not take because of my son's position. My water broke on a Tuesday morning and I did not deliver my son until THURSDAY NIGHT at 9:08 pm. As a result they had to give me an episiotomy where I was cut all the way to the rectrum. The cut was deep and through muscle. My recovery was horrible and painful. they had to use forceps to twist my son into position due to his head being too soft for a vacuum. My son was exhausted and we both went through a ton of trauma. Both of us needed time to recover. On top of that, my son was blue and quiet at birth. They didn’t lift him up or place him on me. They only showed me his face, let me kiss him & rushed him away. I didn’t hold him until 6 hours later So guess what, I don't judge. Thanks! Katie

@@jaynekendall3049girl, had I known all of this ahead of time - I would have begged for a c-section. It was 60 hours of labor and very painful. I had barely slept for days because of vomiting and pain. By the time they offered the episiotomy, I didn’t even know or understand what they were doing. They had to stitch the opening & I was so tired and disoriented- I didn’t get what they were doing. My son was so quiet at birth, they rushed him to the specialty unit. I didn’t hold him until 3 am - 6 hours later

@WithoutACrystalBall I think we as women need to give each other more grace and not take offense so easily. We are sometimes too hard on each other when there's no need to be. I had 2 c sections, no vaginal births and I took no offense. Being a KZbinr has got to be difficult. Always trying to watch everything you say because someone will always be offended regardless. 😒

@@WithoutACrystalBall I've had forceps with episiotomy, completely natural, induced ending with an emergency c-section (baby had been losing weight so i was induced at 34wks, he was originallyhead down but then flippedto footling breech during labour), laboured naturally and ended with a 2nd emergency c-section (I was hoping for a vbac but after 16hours my son decided to somehow evade all the heart beat monitors even the one attached to his head and because they couldn't find a heartbeat i was rushed into theatre) and finally a scheduled c-section. I took no offence from how you worded it and wouldn't have taken offence if you had said "naturally" either. Every single birth is completely different, every pregnancy is totally different and every person is completely different meaning we all experience things differently to each other. Some are lucky to have easy pregnancies followed by easy births, some have awful pregnancies but straightforward births, some have easy pregnancies and horrendous births, some cannot have a "natural" birth, some risk their lives just to be pregnant or to give birth. Me I had HG with my first and second pregnancies but pretty easy births, my third pregnancy wasn't anywhere near as bad but I had other problems such as my BP was so low I was almost hospitalised and baby was struggling, my 4th was by far the easiest pregnancy I have ever known, everything was very straight forward except baby was on the smaller side....both of those were the emergency c-sections, and finally my daughter a not too bad pregnancy, fair bit of morning sickness and again a smaller baby but we planned the c-section due to my age, and the fact that all my previous babies had actually been small and I myself am classed as high risk due to physical issues and the previous c-sections. None of my children weighed more than 6lb 10oz (first and fifth) the others were all smaller (6lb 4oz, 4lb1.5oz and 5lb 7oz) only 3rd and 5th were before their actual due date, 1st and 2nd were both late, 4th right on his due date.

I practiced obstetrics for over 35 years. There's no way that Mykelti would be scheduled for an induction, because her doctor would have known well in advance that the twins were in breech presentation. This whole " We have to change the plan and schedule a C-section instead" malarkey is just to add more drama to the plot line. (Just my two cents'worth...)

My 3rd son was in the correct presentation when I was brought in for induction at 34 weeks, in fact they had even started the induction process, it was only when they examined me 12 hours after the first pessary that they found out he had turned and was footling breech, so it was decided before telling me anything that I would be having a c-section, what the doctors had told me was that they would try to turn him, but in reality they were just waiting to know when theatre would be free for my c-section so it ended up being classed as an emergency c-section due to footling breech position and the fact that I had been induced 6wks early due to my son seeming to have lost weight (he was 4lb 1.5oz at birth they had told me he was expected to be no more than 3lb 9oz). I also know women who have had twins "naturally" where one twin turned as soon as the other was born.

I feel like Mykelti probably was a young person who sort of fell through the cracks in the family… especially when there were so many children & the family dynamics were so um… different. However, I felt like Robin was a grown woman & she probably took advantage of Mykelti’s situation for her own benefit & … even if she didn’t take advantage & did try to support her in some way.. it was not for the long term. If Robin was REALLY so interested in helping Mykelti, then she wouldn’t be attacking Christine like she does. After all, Christine is a major source of support for Mykelti… if for nothing else.. a truly caring person would respect that.

It was crazy how Robyn labeled Mykelti's daughter, Avalon, as anxious--that Avalon had anxiety when introduced to the baby twins. Avalon was experiencing a normal response to new baby siblings. Robyn instills anxiety in these kids.

I've only seen episode 1 so far (I'm in the UK so we only have episode 1 until the 2nd of october) but I have to agree with you that Robyn is the one that instills anxiety in the children, Avalon wouldn't understand fully what was happening, why her Mommy and Daddy weren't at hone, why Mommy wasn't coming home straight away and what the heck are those squirmy tiny things and where has mommy's big belly gone. I've gone through it with all my boys as their brothers came along and even to some extent when their little sister came along even though they were all older and able to understand better when she was born. (My boys are now 25, 21, 20 and 14, my daughter is 4).

I totally agree. I think that's exactly why Robyn keeps her kids locked away from the family and the rest of the world, really. It's a lot easier to manipulate and mold your children into something you see as beneficial to your own selfishness, when you're the only one they're around and hearing all the time. I genuinely feel sorry for those kids. They'll never have any semblance of a happy life, because Robyn and Kody use them as weapons to pull out when they need to. I can't even imagine the level of anxiety Robyn's eldest children suffer with. The fact that they're in they're 20s and still are sheltered to the level they are, is just crazy to me.

So far this season has been very boring. The only real or active video was Kody, Robyn and the kids playing a game and it felt fake or forced. I have read so much in these videos about people saying that Christine has to grow up and be nice to these people and be friendly. No she does not. many counselors or psychiatrist and psychologist Say when there’s toxicity ,go away ,just remove yourself and that’s all she’s doing. now when they have gatherings, is she going to be appropriate, yes,is she going to be cordial, because she is an adult and she has grown up. but she does not have to be friendly and she doesn’t have to have a conversation with them.she has chosen to go and have a happy life unless you have lived with a narcissist you have no idea how toxic and how mentally abusive it is .Until you have been in it and lived with a narcissist. and then she had this cult that had all these rules and regulations and God knows what, literally. she is going to have years of things popping up and she’s going to have epiphanies and it’s like grieving. it just pops up-and she’s gonna realize more and more how toxic it was. she’s gonna go through the same shock,mad,angry,hurt again. all those feelings are gonna come back. unless you’ve lived that life. you have no idea…

I feel like mykelti deserves a bit of grace, a bit of time. She was a young teen when they went on TV. The kids had no choice. Mykelti wasn't allowed on a lot of the couch interviews with the kids because they could not trust what she might say. We also don't know how the producers put questions to them to get the answers they want.

I think Mykelti was in the middle of 'Teenage Hormonal Bitchiness Syndrome' that helps parents and kids to adjust to the separation easier ("You want to leave? FINE! You're impossible to live with ANYWAY!" has said half the parents I know), and Mykelti wasn't able to go out on her own, and Robyn's was a 'half-way house' for her. AND Robyn got to 'blow smoke', spout her stupid platitudes, feel important without really doing anything, and get a free nanny and maid. Christine is a great person for being able to put that hurt aside and be gracious, loving, and not only forgiving, but FORGETTING how badly that must have hurt, and probably still hurts.
