He competed in the qualification meets for the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona, but was not considered for the German Olympic team (rival Jürgen Schult was chosen and went on to win the silver medal).” - Schmidt’s Wikipedia Edit: The same Jürgen Schult was suspected of taking steroids, but always denied the accusation. Wow, so another level, it was also the guilt because the soldier shouldnt put his initials on the scabbard, so he was hiding it with the vertical clip because he felt guilty.

Catching up on older episodes with a cigar. I really enjoyed having Wolfgang along. My dad smoked cigars and I didn’t like them, until I got older and appreciated the smell and smoke. Now it’s an homage to my dad. But the old schutzen rifles and Haenel-Mannlichers are amazingly beautiful. My dad had some. German pre-war bolt actions are some of the best of the best. 👏🏼👏🏼

I love watching Wolfgangs expressions when you pull out all the nazi stuff you can tell german history and acceptance is opposite of ours on it. I'm also 50% German American 4th generation and love watching your shows because it gives me some lessons on german culture and I wish I knew more and would love to get to know my german culture even more.
