Thank you for taking time to call out all the patriotic songs in church. I was the only person in our church of 800 people to vote against a new worship pastor, and I did so because the week earlier at his former church they had sung seven patriotic songs and one Christian song during the July 4 service. my pastor said he was probably just doing what his pastor had asked him to do. In response, I asked my pastor why he couldn’t understand that that was actually worse not better. We ended up leaving that church over the Asbury stuff the following spring.
