The best formula to calculate the percentage is Rate = Portion / Base (R = P / B) . For the above example of what percentage of 60 is 36, R = 36 / 60 which is equal to 0.6 or 60%. I am an accountant and this formula is the best to compute without errors from my experience.

@Wizako5 жыл бұрын
Hello Mohammed The answer given is correct. The roots are -3 + root 39 and -3 - root 39. root 156 can be written as root (4 * 39) = 2 root 39 The 2 in the denominator will get cancelled with both -6 and 2 root 39 to leave us with -3 pm root 39. Cheers

At 20:35 second equation I think c= 45 instead of 15
@Wizako3 жыл бұрын
Hello, c = 15 as per the question. We have to multiply the co-efficient of x^2 with c's co-efficient. Doing so we get 45 as the product to be split.

In your quadratic question my factor are 5/3 and 3 and u r saying -9,-5. Plz explain I found u all answers wrong
@Wizako4 жыл бұрын
-5 and -9 are not the factors. Those are the ways in which you have to split -14. The video, at 20:17 does not discuss factors at all. It only talks about how the middle term is split. And yes, in a subsequent step, the factors can be deduced as 5/3 and 3. Your answer about the factors is right, though.

At 19minutes.. 2nd example.. I am getting X=5/3 and X=3.. There is 3X square.. What will happen to 3
@Wizako3 жыл бұрын
Hi, 3 is the co-efficient of x^2. We need to multiply this with the the constant (i.e., 15) to find the product. The sum is -14 in this case. So form two numbers such that product is 45 and sum is -14. The two numbers are -9 and -5. After this solve the quadratic and find out the values of x. The values of x which you've found is spot on!

what is the correct sequence to start with ??
@Wizako4 жыл бұрын
Hello Riya Pls start with Getting Started Part I and then Part II. These will help get many basics in place that will find application in other topics. My suggestion is to start with arithmetic topics such as percents, fractions and then move on to algebra or geometry depending on your prowess. Keep topics such as Permutation, Probability to the end. For many test takers, these topics could be road blocks. No point starting with such topics and not seeing progress. Cheers

Can u pls explain how do u derive 33.33% is equal to 1/3 ?
@Wizako4 жыл бұрын
Hello Shruti Two ways to go about it. I will choose the one where we start from 1/3 and end at 33.33% Please note that it is 33.33.... % recurring decimal. To convert a fraction into percent, we multiply the fraction by 100 and compute the answer. So, 1/3 will be the equivalent of (1/3) * 100 % = 100/3% = 33.33..% The second method is a wee bit more complicated. Here's a link to one of our videos that explains the second method. kzbin.info/www/bejne/joLafHhqn9GEoac

time 20.36- mistake in answer x2-6x-72. Must be 12 and-6
@Wizako4 жыл бұрын
Hello Alex The roots are 12 and -6. However, what I have done in the table is how -6x gets split. It gets split as -12x and +6x, which when factorized and equated to zero will result in the roots being +12 and -6. I hope this clarifies your doubt. Cheers
