Best golf tutorial I've watched in a long time. Keep them coming!

I had a great practice session today thanks to this video. Your visuals of impact with a cleared left side really helped me with my driver impact alignment. I'm still chasing the 25 yards of distance I need to get down the fairway far enough to get into scoring position. I would love to see a future video where you go in depth about how to turn on the power :)

The best golf advice I’ve ever had ! Been playing golf for many years and your knowledge, and the wisdom and simplicity that you covey this information is amazing. Especially the putting on the breaks with the Driver has really helped me bomb it down the fairway. Shoot 80 today with two birdies on the card, and missed two but made par.Also like your musical skills , I’m a bass player let’s jam !

The “breaking concept” sounds so logical, but never heard of. Believe I have been doing it unconsciously with the punch shot and always wondered why such a short swing went so long. Always hated my driver, with my upper body always passing the ball. This breaking concept may be my ticket out of driver hell. Thank you, I will report back.

Great video! I found this extremely helpful for the driver, woods and long irons. I’m finally able to apply a good amount of power from my trail leg and the ball striking/distance/consistency is fantastic. Thanks for simplifying what I’ve been searching for over 25 years!

Putting on the breaks with the upper body has been a major lightbulb for me. For years I have been watching videos and never has this been mentioned. All I ever heard was "hold the lag", "power through the ball", "max power should be after the ball", "the swoosh should be past the ball". I had to turn my hands over really hard or it was a high fade and even if it drew it was only going about 240. Super frustrating. Now it's more like 280. Super happy.

Enjoy and relate to your instruction! I have to go back and rewatch various videos or sections so it doesn’t matter to me their length because I can’t really absorb all the nuances at once anyway. This happens but after watching your first driver lesson, my driver wasn’t so good this week. Not used to being so far from the ball! Sometimes you have to be willing to change and struggle for a bit I guess.
@Steve-qn8gn18 күн бұрын
@@geoffbickford you also don’t have to try to emulate his swing. One thing I will say is his power position is very very shallow. This will be very difficult for people who have played a long time in a more traditional golf position to get a hold of.
@Artemago17 күн бұрын
@@geoffbickford It’ll come. Keep trying. At the very least, you will learn something new. The methods I show you here will bear fruit over time. These ideas are to be tested, developed, and adapted over multiple range sessions, and not on the course. Changes to golf mechanics and movement happen slowly and are best practiced one at a time with a slow, deliberate pace and tempo. A solid, fluid, powerful golf swing takes time to develop. So remember to be patient with self and enjoy the challenge. You will certainly improve if that is your desire.

Great info!, does the floating applies for irons too!?
@Artemago16 күн бұрын
Sometimes, but because irons are normally hit when the ball is on the ground or teed up close the ground, the difference between the address height position and the impact height position is not that substantial.

Teeing up high usually causes me to get under the ball and it pops up.
@EdKrisiak17 күн бұрын
I struggle with the same. I tried teeing it high and the flight was not popping up but still WAY too high.
@Artemago17 күн бұрын
@EdKrisiak Once you start to hit the ball solidly and the ball flight is high, you may need to reduce the loft of your driver. Or find an appropriate tee height that gives you the proper trajectory. Or both. By swinging up on it, we are essentially adding loft to the driver. So, if you are swinging upwards at 5 degrees and hitting a 10 degree driver, then your effective loft is 15 degrees!
@Steve-qn8gn18 күн бұрын
These videos are great, and while some of these techniques aren’t for everyone I think they are great starting points for a lot of people. The on;y criticism I would have here is that it’s taking a long time to get through the topic. Taking a week in between the address to impact is too long.
