I carry 5 wedges because my new iron set is a stronger lofted set than what I have used in the past, set consists of a PW, AW, GW, SW and LW. The PW in this set is about the same loft as the 9i in an older set. I will drop a wedge, usually the AW, if I am playing the back tees and need another long club to handle the extra yardage.

Excellent primer on wedge distances. I have my distances on a laminated card. The card, for me, is a great way to make a choice when facing tricky lies and in between distances. I check my distances at the beginning of the season, mid-season, and end of season. I just naturally hit wedges from 100 yards in somewat longer at mid season so I have to adjust. Very helpful lesson, Artemago Thank you, Joe in NW PA ps. I play 5 wedges including pitching wedge.

My playing partner, who is also 69 years young, plays with 5 wedges. When he executes correctly he’s deadly accurate. I’ve seen him hole out twice in the last two weeks from 50y and 82y!

so, would you say that with a mixer and this RC-5, could I make live concerts making vocal layers, looping them, while playing a playback track? Im a singer who does mainly voice layers creating atmospheric music with it and i was considering the loop station Boss RC505, but was a bit more than my budget right now, and since i dont have yet a mixer, i thought to do exacly this you are doing, to get me one RC-5, plug it into the mixer and from the mixer with the microphone, create live the vocal layers. and I do play guitar sometimes, so in this format such as yours, can work as well with other instruments. thanks.
@Artemago2 ай бұрын
Yes, you can do as you say by using a mixer. Hook up the loop pedal as suggested, then connect your playback track to any other channel or the tape in. Keep in mind, though, that you will be limited to just one loop with infinite layers. You will be able to add layer upon layer and undo the last layer added, but you will not be able to start/stop particular layers. To do this, you will need a multi track looper, or you can sync two rc5 together.
@avamiscelano2 ай бұрын
@@Artemago yes, I realized that wont be like a multitrack looper, but i guess for what i need right now, the RC5 will do the trick. Thank you very much for the answer.

I play a lot of disc golf and used to play ball golf but never threw baseballs and was left out of most athletic activities as a younger person. The discussion around the body movements, especially the braced leg and hip is so helpful, thank you! I think you just helped me with all 3 sports mechanics! You even looked like you were throwing a disc at the end. =-P

I enjoyed your explanation on the hands and the club head square at impact. I think and feel that the longer the club, the earlier I want to release it with gracefulness to snap it through the ball. The longer the club the slower my swing feels, but it's actually moving fast. Hitting a 3 hybrid about 175 to 185 yards is all that I need. Thank you Artemago, Joe in PA now at 70 years young.

Thanks for the reminder earlier this week in your short video! I had kind of lost my focus on that part of the drive where you accelerate the club, that really works for me, though I can’t hit it as far as you can. I’ve been using a 4 hybrid, but not that often. I hit a 3 iron pretty well but you have a good point about accuracy. Maybe for next season I’ll trade my 4 hybrid for a 3 hybrid? However especially when I’m in thicker grass and such not sure if a hybrid will be as effective as my 3 iron to get at the ball? Thanks!
