Just started playing a few days ago. I committed to wizard and been working through your whole channel lol. Love the content. Would also love to see a new video going through everything about wizard on this patch. When to use certain perks, how you view each spell, matchup tips, what to look for in gear, etc.

Would you be willing to go through the basics, such as your bunny hop spell casting? I’m just learning, but I’m being run down a lot and could use help learning the spacing and how to get out of tricky situations

Spacing is not about bunny hopping or what else. You need to understand every class gap closer ability like rage, sprint, Achille strikes. Make sure to play around cooldown

At 5:12 you mention learning how to loot. Im very new how will i learn what gear is good and sells vs what doesnt?

honestly kind of surprised that staff mastery is still worth taking after the nerf to 1 damage

Because it scales, it’s not 1 flat dmg. With squirre gear, staff is already 10 more dmg with perk

10 spells is more useful in trio. Spells like chain or lighting strike are most useful in team fight. As solo you will win more 1v1 fight with intense or arcane shield

2:10 Make sure you have LESS THAN 25. That means 24 OR LESS! If you have 25 or more, THEN thats when you're in the higher gear bracket!

i found this out the hard way, but to be fair in the hotfix patch notes it states above 25, not 25 AND above they should fix that for new players to understand.

I gotta ask why staff mastery? If you’re just PVE clearing why not take a 100g epic Crystal sword and use a better perk like 10% cast speed

Because crystal sword is nowhere near staff mastery damage. Staff mastery is not only +2 damage. It has a 100% scaling you add the magic dmg from the staff to it + any true add mag dmg * your mag power

Why dont u go with meditate instead of intense focus?

Meditate is for people starting the gam, helps you with ressource management and PVE, intense focus when you know how to deal with PVE without using resources and want to focus on PVP.

you are a great wizard, that's not even in question but i do think this shows that wizard isnt as great as it use to be. both of those players should ahve killed you. the barb pulled out his weapon instead of torch like you should after achilles, you're dead. the fighter didnt miss his first hit on a standing still target... you're dead. you played well and should have died both times because they misplayed. i am a wiz main and love your content but i do think those are things that should be mentioned. do you think we need higher ms then to try to avoid that? ik we can hit 330 with haste and invis but would base 320 with book out or something be optimal? yes you are very underhgeared to them in comparison and pretty heavy counters currently as well so to win at alll in these scenerios is incredibly skillful. dont want to give the wrong impression

Remember I was naked here, with gear they stand no chance. Base kit got weaker but gear is still really strong. Today one tapped a bard with 1 mm

@@cngblade yeah I edited it but it was after your post. It feels good in hr, but I do feel that ms is something I struggle with. That scenario with the barb i had one identical yesterday, missed the ice bolt high ground and he caught me. Ran to the mobs and got him to die when I dropped but couldn’t make any distance. That’s why I was asking if more ms is optimal. If you miss your skill shot and don’t have the ms to compensate they can catch you with ease. Easy answer would he don’t miss but everyone does. I’d say barb and bard are the two that give me difficulty if they properly know how to dodge

@@jamestinyp barb is def harder. But with gear mm is deadly and they can’t play the way he did. Because they die in 1 spell + 1 mm. You can even poke with 1 mm mid range

@@cngblade I’ll run slow in a lot of scenarios to avoid them “hopefully” from getting in top of me but even with over 1k hours hitting headshots is hard with mm especially with all the hitbox manipulation and jump hitting to allow extra distance and negate some damage but I appreciate the input. Most of the time I don’t have much trouble but facing a great player who you can tell they’ve been around since early playtests it’s even hard to hit a zap 😅 the dodging and movement is so smooth, perfect dodge timing.
