I don't understand this! Krok is such a small world, blink and it's done. Why waste dev resources? I'd rather more new content for the average player, put time into fixing bugs. The game needs so much more to the experience than making the first arc look more pleasing visually. We need more end of game content that's not for the 1% like guilds, challenge mode etc. More fun content.

Community has been wanting this for years. Highly doubt they’ll actually do it anytime soon but I’m CLINGING onto the 1% chance that they do.

They are doing it to krok now years after wizard city because I think the plan is to do these in the off years more regularly now in combination with end game content. I'm sure they will go all the way up to Dragonspyre and maybe even Celestia. Most of the enemies are already updated so it would mostly be textures and some npcs+they could actually improve some tedious quests. Why do it? Because first time players are turned off by 2010 graphics simple as that and except for krok they rlly don't look good anymore. Arc 2 worlds from zafaria onwards hold up way better.

@@brazil-y2y Krokotopia is indeed a really short world, but consider that they are taking the game to a brand new market - consoles. Imagine all these new players crossing the doors of KT after WC revamped and facing 17 year old assets and textures. It might seem like a waste of resources, but it will improve the reputation of the game and the FTUE. Nobody will quest 5 ancient graphics worlds and another 5 dated ones in order to play in the newest high-quality ones. Plus, Krokotopia's Egypt concept has always been such a huge idea and the result always felt underwhelming

They've said earlier this year that they potentially found a way to do these texture updates much faster. I'm hoping that means we'll see the rest of arc 1 faster than it took to do WC and KT.

I think this suggests that the new story in krokotopia is going to be either in the past, or on the homeworld of the kroks. If I remember correctly, the kroks on krokotopia got there on the krokosphinx, which had floated away from their actual homeland and ended up with the manders, who they then exploited. So maybe we see where they came from. It would be pristine because the kroks were never put to sleep there.

Sure, that (sort of) covers the Oasis, but there's much more to see. Personally, I'm really interested in seeing how they do Well of Spirits because that has the potential to look way cooler. Grand Arena is another one that could heavily benefit from a facelift.

The hat, robe and boots seem like they could be strong options for non life healer builds. Good Heath, good resist, decent krit and block and good outgoing heal boost as well as some Aim to help hit your spells.

I think I know why they changed the names: because it's Krokotopia, not Egypt. It may be inspired by ancient Egypt, but it is not Egypt. So, I think they were trying to change any ties to the real world.
