I've always soloed stuff just because I can. Was there any material reward for spending and entire week soloing it on my storm? No. Did that stop me? Also no. Just to be able to say that you could do it, is always enough reward, and furthermore, if anyone could do it, it's ferric.

For amulets another good one is an amulet that is level 70 I believe it gives a reshuffle card and like 400 health

Ferric you missed the best amulet for balance under level 100. The level 25 Dalai Lamba's Harmony Vial farmed from Master Tonkatsu. It has a feint and a balance blade card.

I have said this in the past but I don't think that amulet is necessary at all and from what I've heard, its drop rates aren't great either

@@walterbishop1697 At that point I am wasting a ton of time farming for an amulet while I can be questing. Level 25 and arc 1 in general is really easy anyways, not to mention the fact that I'd have to then solo that dungeon.

Honestly, most non vendor pets work pretty well. You can even use the pet that you are given at the beginning of the game and it would be better than a bloodbat. The pet body for a bloodbat itself is too sticky.

Returning balance player here. Have never made it past Zafaria so this guide was super helpful. I do have a question. Why use sandstorm if you have to use 2 blades anyway? why not just use power nova which is much stronger? Everything else was great!

This was made awhile ago so I can’t speak exactly to its reasoning, but I would imagine it might be because sandstorm is enough but has a faster animation

great video, I have a question on amulets. What about the Valkyrie's star necklace as alternative to scales of justice charm? The amulet gives a balanceblade and a tower shield.

yeah its not a huge difference. if you can't get house of scales amulet you can use something with a feint item card or blade item card you like, or an amulet with a ton of health. i know in the start of azteca you can get an amulet that gives like +500 health i used that a ton. +2% damage isnt a huge loss

If you're still farming Hades, Oh Snap made a video where he respawns all 3 bosses. Another bug I experienced was that you can respawn Zeus and Poseidon without Hades. Basically I finished the dungeon with other players, and then I used the chest and also sat in the dungeon reviewing my drops to see if I wanted to put more crowns into the chest. I wouldn't worry about jewels at all at this level besides pip or accuracy jewels (triangle sockets)

so the pet im going for is a odd one enchanted arnaments pip o plenty critical striker spell proff sharp shot pain giver basicly a pet i can put on any wizard and will work wonders tell about lvl 10 ish then i will need a triple dub. (also is using bladestorm viable or just a waist of time?)

Not a bad pet, as long as you have spell proof the other talents can honestly be whatever you want. If I could make a suggestion, I would add spell-defying instead of pain-giver and then whatever school you are using the pet on, socket dealer for that school. If you are soloing and you have access to other blades, I would avoid using bladestorm, but because Balance's blades are already weak, you will probably have to use it at some point.

@@ferric this pet i intend to use on my other low lvl (-90) wizards to help them got up if i ever want to pvp the gem i will be puting on gives mass feint maycast and painbringer i am a balance only (for now) however the enchanted arnaments give sharpened blades so blade stacking solo is much better then most schools. so i could use blade storm but i will wait tell i get my pet to where i wat it cause the higher the pet lvl the more sharpened blades i get.

You can use the hat and robe if you already have them but the stats are comparable and the waterworks gear is just so much easier to farm for.

You don't need to upgrade if the gear still works for you, however you can still upgrade to Darkmoor gear. I ended up indefinitely pausing the series after hitting level 100 which is why there isn't a guide past level 99.

The rest of the method still works perfectly fine, it's just the first step of using the bloodbat is not the best idea if you care about the pet body.

@@7mnii959 The pet body itself is only from the Balance Deckathalon which happens once every 7 months. If you don't have it, I recommend the opossum pet from the kiosk.

0:26 I tell people this all the time, when I hear them arguing over the superiority of Waterworks over Zigzag/HoS gear or vice versa. They're basically comparable to one another. It's really about what you have, or are going to be able to obtain with minimal time/effort output. A third option is certain pack gear for the corresponding levels. Obviously, not all pack gear is created equally (so obviously, stuff from older packs like Knights, or Keepers, is going to put you at a severe disadvantage,) but most stuff from more recent packs is going to be just as good, (Rnagers, Villain, Prof's, Etc.) if not better than WW or HoC, especially because, unlike WW or HoC that are going to have the same stats all the way up to 99, pack gear can still be improved upon every ten levels. In most instances, level 90 pack gear (again, if its from one of the more recent/updated packs) is going to blow WW out of, well... the proverbial water (pun intended.) Sure, you're only going to use it for like ten levels, but if you have it, use it... And that's the entire idea behind pack gear... See, while I wouldn't recommend going out and buying a bunch packs at level 60, it definitely can still be a viable alternative to farmed gear at that stage of the game. Buying packs at level 60 is a colossal waste of money, unless you're independently wealthy, and can afford dropping $20 or so every ten levels, for every wizard. If, on the other hand, you've been playing for a while, and have wisely held onto mid level crowns gear that, may not have benefitted your wizard at the time, but certainly would come in handy now that you're working on that second, third, fourth, etc. wizard, this is when that pays off. You know... when you grabbed those three Novus Explorer's packs from the loyalty rewards guy on your level 65 Ice wizard, and while you were pissed off at the time that you got only gear for other schools, here's when hoarding that gear in your bank or in gear vaults pays off. For instance, by the time I started my Balance wizard (my 4th wizard I was attempting to take to max,) I had so much assorted Crowns/packs balance gear, I just had to stop by my bank or one of my gear vaults and grab the corresponding equipment every ten levels. I can remember the last time I farmed Waterworks since, by this point, I've got so much gear socked away in the indoor and outdoor vaults of each of my 9 houses/castles, I think I probably have gear for every school, at every level mark (so I have gear for death, at level 10, level 20, level 30, etc., fire at 10, 20, etc.) Ultimately, at the end of the day, I think it's almost better for players to try and learn what stats they want to focus on for their specific school, at specific levels, than it is for them to try to memorize what gear they should always get. That way, if they get gifted a pack or something, an they get a robe that's better than their current one in some regards, and worse in others, they can discern for themselves whether or not they should swap out their current one. Well, those are my feelings on the matter.

A very wordy way to put it, but yes, the most important thing with farming something that isn't end-game relevant is the amount of time you spend getting it vs the amount of time you save using it.
