Your “tier list” is much more enjoyable than the others, you gave more input rather than based on stats and spells. I created my account back when cl came out and picked storm, purely for the triton spell (don’t come for me). After years of playing I find out I enjoyed ice quite a lot followed by myth. I love being a tank hybrid rather it be support-tank or offensive-tank. I started a balance cause I still never made one and I’m excited to make a support school for end game. hope to see more videos from you. Maybe start a playthrough with a school you haven’t played a lot?

I got Myth on the quiz at the beginning and decided to roll with it and I don’t regret it. The school is fun to figure out, especially as a player who is coming back to the game after 10+ years. I do hope for the day KI revamps minions bc at the moment I haven’t used one since early Wizard City.

I'm right there with you. I created my first character (myth) back in 2010 or so. I still use minions for boss fights on occasion, and the way I use them, they are still quite useful, but there are so many things I would change about myth if I could to make them more unique and to actually be pushed into utilizing more of the spells.

IMO ice isn’t that bad. I do agree that the damage is disgustingly low until about 100. I will say though that besides death, is probably the most “I can chill and take my time because I won’t die.” School. My main is a fire, but I love my ice!

I love school of life. I will admit it’s not for starter players who will most likely be soloing, I don’t recommend it. The lack of AOE spells till 48 Is soo tedious. You constantly have to blade, debuff, setup while also using pips to heal urself is soooo tedious. Fights take so much longer for the reason alone. But it does pay off late game with forest lord and dungeons are fun to keep everyone up and alive. Maybe after 1 or 2 other wizards I’d recommended life

Same for storm, I dont recommend it for starter players. The risk of fizzling and low health/defense is difficult. The best school for starters would possibly be death, balance, or even ice.

"Perfection is the enemy of good". Just pick the school you find cool and all should be fine. For me it was myth because i really really loved the minion gimmick and i also like mythology. Any school is good & fun, you just need to figure the playstyle of each school out

As an Ice main I agree with pretty much everything you said. It’s the kind of school where you have to do the boring stuff first so you can have fun later. The slow grind is so painful especially when you have an alternate account (in my case a Fire wizard) that’s speeding through quests. But I personally think that hanging in there makes late game pretty satisfying because it feels like your suffering has a payoff. You have to find the fun in Ice but the fun you find makes it my favorite. Also: I can’t believe someone else plays Wiz and has watched Bakugan. That was my entire elementary school years summarized lmao, was obsessed with both.

Myth has been slept on. Me and my friend did LOTS of duo stuff as Myth (him) and Balance (me) around 2019! The wonky myth spells came in handy a lot, especially when cheats started happening. (btw, balance is so fun when leveling with a friend, i would love to do it again)

When I first started playing I went with myth, first for the colors, 2nd because summoning / summoner class was always what I gravitate towards, later rather then sooner I discovered that minions aren't really the draw to myth, it was for breaking boons, and being a hitter... I switched to balance and never looked back, it's very fun, and I find soloing with it just as easy as it was for myth, if I started again I'd probs do a life/death wiz, but I love the esthetic of balance and how I don't see a lot of them

I love ice, yes because I love blue & just the ice element in general but being able to tank is really cool along with getting to really strategize. Yes soloing can be slow, but with team up with other wizards it can be quick! Yes a lot of blades, traps, bubbles, but it’s possible to hit & get some pretty good damage! Or you can support, take hits, give shields, heal, or give blades depending on the spells you have. I love utilizing traps or blades for the people I’m playing with. I feel like Ice can be very versatile, I’m always the last one standing

Lmao I chose life because I love the color green plus I love healing haha. People have told me it'd be rough and it was but now that I'm in Polaris (literally just started today) its definitely gotten much easier especially now that I have darkmoor gear.

I'm a Myth main, thank you for giving some fair recognition to it. By far my favorite school, plus the spells look so nice. I know it's not a damage spell, but the myth grendel healing spell is my favorite myth spell in the whole game.

Death really is OP, it’s like Storm, kill them before they can hit an heal. That said, I still think the second best hitting school is actually death, followed by myth them fire and life… then balance then ice. Death also now has the most craftable AOE spells that cost less than 5 pips

@@rsgtrx6you can try to get spellments for ship of fools. Or what most lower level deaths do is complete crafting quest up to zafaria (by having higher levels port you to those worlds) and then there is a person in Avalon who can give the crafting recipe for deer knight. It’s not level capped so theoretically you could get it level 1. Good luck!

starting off with a balance wizard, the idea of being a buffer/support in a team setting is appealing while still being able to stand on your own in pvp

I loved playing ice, I just maximized my ice damage at every milestone. Yes, the ice damage stat numbers will never be as high as other schools. At lvl 100 I had 120% damage only, but I also had 66% resist. Made it super easy to solo almost anything.

I think life is slow to solo with UNLESS you come prepared with a Kookaburra pet, because leafstorm is (I think) the highest damage 4-pip spell (up to ~400 damage) Combined with the leaf blade item spell the pet gives and all you need is the standard blade + spirit blade to one hit most battles. You are also pretty tanky, and the ability to heal so much hp so easily makes it more resilient than ice imo. I have also noticed that, at least early in the game, it's not very common for death mobs to have a life shield.

balance is a popular school for the wrong reasons XD. i hadn't played since 2016, i restarted in 2022 and chose balance as my first wiz (bc i remember it being one of my favorites when i was younger)... solo'd until lvl ~100 and REGRETTED everything, but the journey was FUN and i've always liked being a support when needed. i'd recommend balance if you want to challange yourself in battles, you have a good kit but at the same time you don't have many options in a duel if your'e soloing (if that makes sense). In a team everything feels easy and all you do is support and even heal at times. Balance is really balanced but underwhelming

I'm a new player relatively speaking (only got a wizard to 47 rn highest) and I picked Balance. While I'm struggling a lot with soloing the game like this, it's still a pretty cool school lore wise I think over all other schools except maybe Death and Myth. (I think Bal, Death, Myth have the most in-game lore related to them that's different than the other ones) so I'm still happy with my choice :)

okay so first: i loved watching and listening to this tier list!! it felt like your best friend trying to help introduce you to the game. I also appreciated how you actually went and showed the schools themselves instead of just random footage. I recently decided to start playing again as the nostalgia from 2008-2010 hit me and I was a bit bummed they changed the school introduction bcus going around to each of the classrooms and seeing how each had its own vibe and tree was part of the experience imo. So thanks for recreating that in an interesting way! You also made some very good points and listed the pros/cons of many aspects which was definitely helpful to hear for ppl (like myself) who havent made it to end game. Overall 10/10 tier list, it was entertaining and funny yet very informative as well. Id watch it again and send it to friends looking to get into the game. If you did end up making a playthrough I would definitely watch it. Also side note your voice is so great to listen to as well!

Myth became very interesting when I started upgrading my spells with spellements in dragon sprye. And once you get to celestia itdoesn’t matter the damage since your going to be using gargantuan on every spell. Just use whatever wizard you want you can always make another one.

Death trivializes most encounters. I did solo ice first, and am currently running through on my death. There were bosses that my ice struggled with for hours that my death just effortlessly blew through.

Ice is PAIN LIFE IS ALSO PAIN I SUGGEST PICKING PAIN at the higher levels Ice solo carry the ARCS with variable spells like glaciar fortress removing jinxes and adding wards and even a sword removing debuff for enemies we have unique spells for any situation very usable in team comps

The Myth "Class" is the Pet Tamer or Monster Tamer in other games. They exist, they're usually a lot better than W101 handles them but Myth in W101 is still a lot of fun

I have the most fun playing LIFE, keeping my team alive and making us hard to kill against the many bosses and mobs is so fun to me. I truly like the Healing spells and if need be I can hit with a nice amount of damage. I enjoy this game but life is my favorite class.

I'm doing a balance playthrough where I use archmastery and off school spells, it's a really fun solo mechanic, being able to change your stat on the fly, and always having a hit or two from every school between main and side deck. Will this be useful outside of arc 1, it's still to be unseen, but i would like to see how this works as with archmastery and tc's you really can be a jack of all trades, elemental enemies? Spirit blade and you've got three hits ready to go!

as a storm, i can confirm its sort of repetitive, but instead of tempest i use storm lord, my pets sirens which do 685 damage (which is basically a stormlord, or the little fireflies (idk their names sorry)

As someone who spent most of their time soloing the game, death is the way to go. You can do damage and heal yourself to keep moving and keep making progress. If you are playing with another person, I would suggest playing life and storm. You can have one person do damage and the other heal and support.

I'm literally maybe 1/10th of the way through this video. However I'm noticing one solid piece of advice this man most likely leaves out. If you can afford to, and would like to have a max level character you can use to boost your wizards through the game quickly. This is under the assumption that you either have played the entire storyline or you aren't interested and just want to get to a certain level, say, level 60-160 for something like PVP. Make 2 accounts. Make a storm or fire first on your side account. Get the fire or storm wizard to max level and obtain the best free gear you can for your side acct wiz, unless you don't care about spending bank on pack gear and pet training. Storm or fire may not be for you, it may not specifically be your "baby" However, having a max fire or storm on a side account if u buy membership for 2 accounts. You can run 2 wiz clients on the same computer. Therefore, you can have a max level powerhouse wizard that can easily be used to get any of the wizards you make on your main to max within just a few short days. Not to mention, you'll have a max level fire or storm that you can use alongside your main to assist with farming gear, jewels, stitch gear, mounts, etc. Whatever you'd like. You could even run 2v2 PVP with your own wizards and only have yourself and the meta and shit to blame for getting your ass handed to you. Good luck young Rizzard! 🤣

What’s your pace? Do you only want to do the main quests or do you want to do the side quests as well. Grinding and side activities can potentially increase the time it takes to reach max. If you rush through the game and set aside 4-5 hours a day to Wiz, you can reach max in less than a month if you know what you’re doing.

Depends on how fast you quest. If you play nonstop you can do it in under a month like the others said, otherwise maybe 3 months of consistent moderate questing.
