I want the same thing, but with a four link. I don't want a three link arrangement. I want the long arms for stability at highway speed, not off roading. My 2000 WJ axle is likely bent. I clearly have negative camber on both sides, but my ball joints/wheel bearings are tight.

I have their 3 link on my ZJ… just ran over 3 hours on the highway 70-80 mph no issues with stability

Proper 3 link and good track bar will have no issues whatsoever on the highway. Long arm 4 link fronts most of the time still need a track bar as they are not triangulated and the 4th link restricts articulation.

@RANDOMNATION907 We include options to customize this front truss. It is available with both upper link mounts if you want. We have tested front long arms with 3 links and 4 links. Nobody could tell the difference at highway speeds and daily driving. The difference was only felt off road when articulating the suspension and letting it droop out. When off road the 4 link long arms with a track bar was more inclined to bind, feel stiff, and unsettled. Look at Ultra 4 race Jeeps, if they are running a track bar, then they are running a 3 link. They do well over highway speeds across gnarly terrain where stability is paramount. Our own 4500 class Ultra 4 Jeep was the same way.

4 link front long arms is actually a 5 link because of the track bar. Honestly, that is over-constrained for a Jeep that sees more suspension travel than stock. Being over-constrained causes the suspension to fight itself: the 4 links are trying to make the front axle move straight up and down versus the track bar pulling the axle side to side. 3 links are the way to go. No binding and great stability. My 3-link'd Jeep can blast down rough trails at speed, then get out on the highway and go 80 without batting an eye. What more could you want?

Started installing my 6.5” rock link pro kit for my WJ and ran into issues with the front coil spring retainer. The breaker nut that’s suppose to expand in the coil perch wasn’t expanding. Tried different methods and no luck

Same process on a hp30?
@IronRockOffRoad2 ай бұрын
@TheKrowls86 The key points are the same regardless of the axle. Make sure the axle is straight, tack weld your truss in many places, weld in small sections jumping around frequently to avoid uneven heating. We have many axle specific trusses. Are you trying to install this WJ truss on a JK high-pinion D30? Or are you asking about a XJ high-pinion D30?

@TheKrowls86 We make a HP D30 truss for the XJ. It is even easier to install than the one in this video because it is welded together when you receive it. There's a good video on our product page and detailed instructions there too. www.ironrockoffroad.com/product/dana-30-over-axle-truss-xjtjzj.html If you have any questions, you can always give us a call 9-6pm central time 952-210-7185 Or send us an email with pictures. tech@ironrockoffroad.com
