HI, if WkD is your thing then good on you, it's probably an age thing but these are not for me. I usually do these unscripted and often get things wrong, but why change the habit of a life time, mentioned the 80's were a wash with these, but meant early 90's.......anyhoo, as ever these are my opinions and you are free to disagrees.

WKD is the perfect club drink when you want to feel a bit of a alcoholic buzz but want the joy of a sugary soft drink at the same time. Fine beers have their place are wasted in a club environment

@@samueltaylor2757I'm pretty much immersed in clubbing and the culture. I can tell you I have never drunk alcohol in a nightclub and that goes with a fair few people I know. I'll have a few proper cask ales or craft beers before hitting a club. After that no alcohol.

@@samueltaylor2757 Obviously I'm talking about Lakota and Motion in Bristol which are clubs I frequent. What people do in Popworlds, Pryzms, Revolutions and Atiks I don't know. I'd guess people drink stuff like WKD in them. I've never been in such establishments , so I can't say for sure. I'd imagine these places are full of people whose idea of a night out is getting blitzed on WKD, Coronas, shots or whatever.

Update: 2024 and only touched alcohol twice this year! 🤙🏼 As someone who can drink anyone under the table, but always the person that has to look after everyone else when drinking 🤣 Never had a reason to question, not that counting does anything. BUT change of perspective and the WHY? Instead of WHY NOT to drinking. And another huge reason- no time for it. Swapping habits is a great thing!

I drank 700 ml bottle of it on my way back from work it’s absolutely amazing however a good beer or whiskey is WAY WAY WAY better and that’s just amazing pint I agree with. Thank you sir for your honesty ❤

Someone commented that it’s good if you’re clubbing, the caffeine picks you up. This last time I went to a club it was in my college days in Wales must have been the mid 80’s, you had to wear a tie, I kid you not. #oldfart 🤣🤣🤣

wkd blue has a new product out NOW that you can buy in sainsburys. WKD X BLUE 500ml can. There is also WKD X GOLD 500ML can but my sainsburys dont have it yet. So try the blue can 1st

Madam director, my good lady, has also informed me that Aldi now do a copy. It’s no secret that I don’t like these, I just don’t get them. @@sophiedowling7043 I have also tried their pink gin, for what it is it’s marmite, you either love it or hate it., I will try their dark fruit which I’m told is better, but at 53 I not exactly their target audience, still open mind and all that. Have you tried dragons soop ? It similar, but again I think I just too old , but what do I know, back in my day we drank purple nasties , cider and black with a shot of Pernod.

I just don’t get these, it’s the same with red bull and vodka I’m totally bemused as to how they are so popular. Full of caffeine so It would keep you partying to the wee hours. Seeing people put cases in their supermarket trolleys makes me wonder if I shouldn’t buy some shares. Madam Director has said I’ve got to do the iron brew, can’t say I’m looking forward to that but who am I to argue. Thanks for the comment, cheers !

Sorry I disagree with your statement , if it was horrible in taste No one would drink it .,... WKD use to taste nice at least the blue one did .. but due to alcohol tax a few years ago . In December 2014 to comply with alcohol tax laws and to minimise future tax increases, “Alcoholic Mix WKD” replaced the old “Original WKD”, and the old Original Mix is now no longer available in both the UK and Ireland. WKD originally contained 5.5% alcohol by volume (ABV), but this was reduced to 5% in October 2003,[2] to 4.5% on 25 July 2005, and later to 4%, current as of 2020. The drink was launched in August 1996 in Scotland under the name 'Wicked'

I like these, but they’re too sugary to get drunk from. I don’t mind an ice cold one on a very hot summers day.. refreshing! It’s like kopperberg in my view. Very tasty but too sugary.. I can’t drink anymore than 3 of them without heartburn
