LordChantry, Mr Sealls is my local weatherman. He's as real and genuine as a person can be. Not only does he do an awesome job at that, he teaches at U South AL, he goes to local schools and teaches kids about weather, and when you meet him in person you feel like he's an old family friend that you've known your entire life.

I'm in Fort Lauderdale and this is the first guy to be honest about where this storm is going. Miami stations and TWC don't want to show the full picture because they want people to remain scared without any critical analysis which just leaves everyone confused. Alan tells us exactly why we should not be scared but explains very simple reasons why we should still be concerned. It doesn't make up for checking the NHC.NOAA website but this is the most helpful info I've found and I'm subscribing. Thanks a lot.

What type of surge should i be expecting? I live in the Clearwater area on a canal to the Gulf. We can have about 15-18 feet before it floods from the canal. Is that a realistic thing that is going to happen? It has been in the Atlantic the whole time so I wasn't sure. We are evacuation zone B. We used to be A, I don't know why it changed. I'd like to be as prepared as I can. The canal is about a mileish away from the canal and has many little twists and turns between the gulf and us.Could someone please help me? Also would it be smarter to put the sandbags on my seawall or against my house on the back and front?
