Wait what? politicians wear suits, there's no more effort they could put in costumes ... Like the only thing they could do was put the easily recognizable pink channel suit on Jimmy, and even doing that the fidelity to Jackie is what you would expect from a comedy sketch. I wouldn't consider anyone's take on Jackie as serious attempt unless there's attention paid to her hair. I mean, she wasn't a politician, she was a celebrity, trendsetter, she hired the same hair stylist as Marilyn Monroe. Whatever hairstyle she was recorded wearing would be next's week's trend craze. She was constantly on the cover of fashion magazines. Her mere existence as first lady created a culture of media obsession to the first lady. It created a role of which the first lady was expected to fulfill in a very specific way, lasting up until today.
