They really hit the nail on the head in their 'gay football league' sketch. The coach and players are just regular people doing their jobs, while corperate commercialism loves to make a huge deal out of it and create labels for everything -- all in the name of marketing and sales. Sexual preferences shouldn't be marketing tools.

Zack is unironically a really good actor. I can't say if it would or wouldn't be his speed to do something like a serious period piece, but he always does a killer job in these sketches -not just on the comedic timing, expressions, etc, but also just playing the roles really believably. He's always been a close 2nd favorite for me after Trevor.

I get it, part 2 or 3 They are doing good comedy work here, they often cover a certain theme or story, and they really challenge/make fun of, satirize both or all sides of a question, like in the sketch with the poor box of a pig and the heartless corporate scientist and the unthinking animal rights activists.... great stuff! Exposing the cluelessness of all of us. At least we can laugh, and when there is laughter, there can be clarity, and when there's clarity, there is a possibility to learn and grow

I’ve watched just about all of these WKUK sketches more than once. I first got introduced to them around 2013 when I was about 14. I had seen the Gay Football League one before, but I don’t think I was really old enough or aware enough to understand it. Watching it back now, holy shit. It’s almost, profound. And saying something from a WKUK sketch is profound is an incredible rarity. It covers so many different tropes in our society. From the over-sexualization of almost everything from the media, to gay people just wanting to be seen as normal and living normal lives. Being gay isn’t somebody’s personality, it’s just who they are. The “celebration” scene in the locker room is hilarious when you have the entire context of the sketch. Great job WKUK. It’s a shame Trevor isn’t still here with us.

That’s what’s annoying about identity politics as well. They boil down everyone’s identity to their sexual orientation, race, or other group instead of looking at each person individually. Our country is cool because of how diverse we all are. There isn’t really a typical “cookie cutter” American anymore, we come in all different shades and backgrounds. It seems like a lot of people are trying to put everyone into boxes and label them based on immutable characteristics. (Sorry for the rant, I’m baked AF)
