Arabic: Allahu Akbar English: God is the greatest It's amazing how many Westerners think that this is some type of terroristic statement when in all actuality it is just praising God in another language. Once upon a time a few years back I could recite the entire first Surah of the Quaran in Arabic. I can still partially recite it but have some trouble towards the end. Being able to do so is one part of becoming a Muslim and taking your Shahada. I started attending Jumu'ah while incarcerated out of curiosity. I was the only White non Muslim that the Imam would let attend because he could tell I was serious about learning about Islam and not just goofing off or trying to join for "protection" like so many people of all races do when doing time. I was genuinely curious and wanted to learn about this religion that scared so many people that I knew and even more people that I didn't. Here in the US since 2001 many citizens of all colors were terrified of Muslims/Islam and saw it as an evil violent religion that wanted to destroy the Western way of life. I kinda knew from the start that this simply wasn't true so I wanted to learn as much about it as I could so I could educate my fellow Americans. After many Fridays of Jumu'ah, reading a nice portion of the Quaran, and talking to many long time Muslims I came to the conclusion that if I were ever to go back to religion (I was raised Baptist) that I would want to be a Muslim. So eventually I asked to start preparing to convert by taking my Shahada which part of that required me to memorize and be able to recite the entire first Surah in Arabic. I ended up getting transferred before I could complete and when I got to my new compound at work release I was working a full time job and being prepped to be released from incarceration so I never did find the time and there wasn't as much of a Muslim presence there. I think there were 3 at the most, no Imam and we didn't have Jumu'ah. Here lately I've been seriously contemplating finally finishing what I started. I've been feeling for a while now that Islam is the best religion for anyone that is a traditionalist and/or conservative. In my humble Caucasian opinion it is the most BASED religion on the planet! If the Right Wing in The United States of America would fully embrace our Muslim Brothers in our country we would be an unstoppable force. Trust me, no Muslim wants to vote for Leftist policies; everything that they (the left) stand for goes completely against *EVERYTHING* that Muslims find important to them. If anyone reading this doesn't believe me just do a little research online, it won't take long at all to see what I'm talking about. Sorry for going on such a tangent for basically no reason, I just wanted to spread the Good Word of the Prophet Muhammed (Peace Be Upon Him) and the almighty Allah!(The Most Glorified, The Most High!!!)
