Car was moving! To bad about that motor! Makes me want to get mine back out! But I already have to many broken ones to fix!😂🤜🤛

Wow, that is a freaking lot of resistance! I am still running the 14 gauge wires on my Bandit that has done up to 102 mph on 3s and I am afraid to max it out on 4s. I will have to keep a closer eye on the wire temps. I don't recall them getting really hot but maybe they are. Excellent PB. Makes you wonder what it could do with bigger gauge wires (edit, it looks like you picked up 3 mph)! Your fix is kind of the same as what I did to my 3660 4650 XTEAM motorbut I used kept the black plastic wire spacer in place (I only used 12 gauge wires and drilled it out). One of the butt connectors in mine came apart when I was desoldering it so I bought a bunhc of butt connectors and make a new one. Like you, I wasn't sure how well it would work but it worked. I think I am going to go ahead and put 12 gauge wires on my 3665 now.... and I am curious if I will pick up a couple of mph.

@BriansRCStuff Great result with the bandit. I think it's hard to say what speed was gained, as I just run out of road really. I think 130mph could have been possible with more space. It was a strong motor! But yeah like you say, the lower resistance from the thicker wires should help deliver slightly more voltage. I wish X-Team would put thicker gauge wires in, especially their 3665-3674 motor range, where it's needed. Their 40mm diameter motors are fine, and come with 10 gauge. I used the X-Team 4092 motor in my big rock, it's a beast!

@micron3268 Thank-you, I just watched your latest video, I see you had something similar happen. Some good valuable info in the comments about the brake force playing a role in this. I had increased my brake force just prior to this run.

@@TheSpeedySpot Thanks for the sub partner! Yes, I have had a couple of meltdowns in my short speedrun career! lol My first meltdown was massive, I lost most of the car! Getting big numbers out of these RC cars is a lot harder than I expected! Yes, the nice folks that chime in in the comments have helped tremendously, I am very thankful for that! I didn't even think about the brakes causing heat like that!? 🤕 Keep pushing👊

@fastesteddiercmayhem2959 thanks for the inspiration 🤛. I just wish I had done the wire mod before they melted. I knew that 14 gauge wasn't up to much! Hopefully I didn't damage the motor too bad.

@TheSpeedySpot yeah that's why I did mine first....I just knew they would melt or catch something on fire 🔥 good luck brother 👊

I have a 3200kv hobby wing Sensored 3665 motor if you want, its got a couple scratches but it’s in perfect working order I’d let it go for next to nothing and it would handle the power you’re putting through it

@BagDouken thanks for offer mate. Not sure if you watched til the end, but hopefully, it's fixed now. 🤞 I think there's possibly a 130mph in this one!

@@TheSpeedySpotI saw you save it but they lose magnetism when they are exposed to extreme heat so run some shakedowns before going full beans just incase! You’re working hard can’t help but respect it You got 130 in the bag let’s go 🎉
