Given a choice I would go the 29... it just looks too good. I might even say one of the best looking models ever. That design with the white body and red hits. The thing could not run and I would still want it.

My opinion - These two type of cars are different. 12428/12427 Is a desert buggy, this means that it was created to drive on sand and climb a type of surface that sink you if too big wheels-traction. 12429 looks more like a rock bouncer, this means that it can have bigger wheels-traction to climb surfaces that dont sink you.

Have both of these, the 8 has more torque as the gearing and motors are exactly the same but the bigger tires of the 9 make it sluggish out of the gate and when climbing. The bigger tires of the 9 make it better in tall grass, snow and loose dirt. The 8 climbs way better and has a much lower center of gravity. In this video it looks as though the 8 lost 4wd which makes a huge difference. So, which is the better vehicle? Due to the very low price of either vehicle, just buy them both! I truly cannot say I like one more than the other. Only take away is the 8 being green? So, in my eyes, the 9 is better looking in ways but the 8 is still mean by design and color is the only issue. They are also fully compatible as far as parts go so spares are swappable!!

I also have both, personally i enjoy the 12428 because its faster and i hate the 12429 battery compartment. As for parts i thought they would be exactly the same but i have noticed differences in the suspension

The wltoys 12428 is great. I have one and it does really well. The only problem I faced in 1 and a half years of ownership was the servo and hub pins. The rear left tyre nuts just kept coming loose, which resulted in the loss of a pin. Fortunately, this is a very easy fix, it's cheap too. I just took some metal rod and cut it. It does the job, although not as great as the original one. Never owned the 9, so I don't know how it performs. Did u buy an RC? 2:35 it is very clear that the 12427 has somthing broken, like the driveshaft, as it is only driving the rear wheels. I think it was from the beginning since even on the gravel hill climb it did very bad, which is unusual.

Hi, I have just bought 12427 but having a problem. 15 seconds after switching on, car just cut off. Steering works but no movement at all and LED lights starts flashing. Any idea how to fix please??

12428 comes with more metal gears and an updated battery and connector, if you got tje 12427 I definitely recommend returning it and getting the 12428 or even the 12429

oye amigo me podrias ayudar tengo un wiltoy 12427 le cambie las llantas (todas originales) y despues ya no se movia cheque y eran las llantas que no estaban bien aprtadas eso creia pero osea cuando acelero se escucha todo funcionar bien pero las llantas no se mueven levanto el carro en mis manos y se mueven las llantas desde mi punto de vista las llantas no se mueven por el peso ayudame que debo de hacer
