Thanks for the idea. I did the same except I modified a Traxxis upper chassis because I didn't want to steering so high up.

Wow amazing work with the steering mod.Can you make a video to show us how to do that setup?

Wow that's interesting to no that the Traxxas rustler Bell crank works.it's a funny thing, I just picked up one of those to customize . That was one of the first things I was thinking adout figuring out how to put a bell crank in it.

What pieces did you use to mount the A959 tower to the aluminum plate on top of the front diff?
@Spacecadet07305 жыл бұрын
Just some longer M2 screws directly into the screw holes on the diff

@@Spacecadet0730 Cool, but it looks like you used some small 90 deg pieces (possibly cut down servo mount posts?) to connect it. Your build is sweet. It would be awesome if you could do a more detailed overview of how you built the front end, including the Bell cranks and front mount shocks.

@@168grhp It was just a piece of scrap aluminum to cut down with a dremel.

Did upgrading the center brace remove a lot of the twisting in the chassis?
@Spacecadet07305 жыл бұрын
Yeah it has helped. I kept some of the weights as well to help too.

How did you mount the cut off part of the cage to the rest of the car?
@Spacecadet07304 жыл бұрын
Drilled some tiny holes and used m2 screws

Its the original body panels, I just spray painted it.

Great job, using your build as an inspiration. What spur did you find that fits?
@Spacecadet07305 жыл бұрын
There is a link in the description. I would suggest keeping a nylon spur however. That way it will be the point of failure and easy to replace.

does the new mounted front suspension fix the awful camber toe of the car?
@Spacecadet07304 жыл бұрын
No, you will need to upgrade to metal turnbuckles to be able to adjust your toe and camber

Can you like that drive shaft ? I'm so sick of buying one every time I take my car out.
@Spacecadet07305 жыл бұрын
Sorry I must have forgotten it in the parts list. I just added it to the description. I went through about 4 different drive shafts before I found this one, and its much heavier and beefier than the others.

How much was all of your mods together? Wish i could do that to mine lol
@Spacecadet07304 жыл бұрын
All together? not sure, I had some of the upgrades laying around already. I would say for around $100 you can make it into a really good rock racer. $45 brushless combo, $25 dumbo receiver/transmitter, $20 tires, and $10 servo should get you %90 of the way there.

Hey! U just earned new sub!!..I had a question is how do u make a rc crawler go faster or atleast upgrade it?
@Spacecadet07304 жыл бұрын
Lot of factors can make it go faster depending on where you want to upgrade. Easiest is if your car can support it would be to increase the cell count in your battery, 2S to 3S for example. However you need to know if your ESC and motor can handle that. Second easiest is to decrease your pinion size if you have an adjustable motor mount. Keep in mind you will have to closely monitor the temp of the motor. Third easiest is to swap the motor. If its a brushed motor, you can get one with lower turns, if its brushless, get a higher KV. You need to make sure your ESC can handle the increase current however. Another option is to get bigger tires, it will change the final drive ration, however you need to be mindful of your differentials, since it will add more stress.
@deafen4 жыл бұрын
Will getting bigger tiers really affect the speed? Cause it seems the easiest way xD

And where can I learn more about these rc motors and ESC cause I absolutely don't understand it but I want to costomize my RC s
@penacatalin76305 жыл бұрын
Whi did you change the pozition of the servo and the stering sistem?
@Spacecadet07305 жыл бұрын
Bell crank systems are better than the steering bar it comes with. When I installed the bell crank I had to change the servo location for it to all fit.
