I have been waiting a long time for the parts from China but I can say worth it.In this video you will see how easy or hard to make the motor conversion. the motor is 3650 4300kv which is to powerful for this little car. cheers

I have that transmitter and receiver and have been very happy with the performance. You set the speed with the set button. Levels 1, 2 and 3. They also have two other models of the transmitter, this one is the largest and there is a medium and small. I like the small the best.

Agreed. I want power not speed. So I’m going with a tiny motor gear if I can ever get the diffs back together and functioning again

@@jimmyv1753 if you want power then try to downsize the motor gear pinion to 19 or 17 tooth. Then you will get more torque.but not so much speed. Good luck😉

I was on track to do a badass upgrade and somewhere along the lines I’m not sure how or when but my driveshaft got bent. But good. So on top of my motor esc and a few metal upgrade parts now I had to take the differentials apart and reuse the crown gears. Then I got stopped dead in my tracks when I completely bombed reassembly of the diffs even though I triple checked and verified the shafts were identical it locks up when I tighten the screws. All the wheels spin the same direction and everything works perfectly until I tighten the screws. 🤦🏻‍♂️ ready to toss the damn thing.

I had this same problem, make sure you are using the right length screw. I put in too long of a screw and that was the problem

Hmmm.! I have one on 3s that fit in 144001! But i have wrapped it in tape and i can't say it's name...but i can say it's way too powerful for the weight! 😏

Great video and useful guidance! Just a question,I installed the same brushless kit in my 144001 but in full immediate throttle with 2s 2600mah battery the esc restarts. Did you notice a similar behavior? Is there a possible solution using the program card?

I thought thr 27t pinion was too much for the brushless motors? That's what a bunch of other people are saying. I'm wondering why you can't just swap to a different pinion and spur gear completely so you aren't stuck with the 0.7 MOD gears. 🤷

The difs will start crying soon, trust me, i destroied them with 2845 motor 3100KV. Now a have a full upgrade new difs and 3650 motor, I'll see how it will last. PS: I forgot about the CV joints, they will snap also, UPGRADE imediatly

Hi. I think one of the issues is the esc.! Is a bit slow on acceleration in specially on grass,on concrete is quite good! Could be the programme of the esc! I am waiting for a programming card from Ebay to see the settings on it! May I am wrong! And the others went straight fit. Now i working to make a monster truck from it. Longer chassis and bodyshell 1:12 scale! Cheers😉

You know you can always relocate the battery holder pieces to use a longer battery, right? Or at least I can on my 124019. Not sure about the shorter 144001. I've never had one. Edit: I guess you can't relocate the battery holders on that one. Wow. I'm glad I bought the upgraded 124019 buggy instead.

So is this kit good for this car ? or its uncontrollable, and what are you running 2s or 3s ? perhaps you know a good esc and brushless motor which is cheaper and is ideal for this car i am currently using a surpass hobby 2445-3600 KV but i would like to go faster but at the same time have nice handling.

With this car you can't go much faster because the weight. You must increase stability with metal steering rods and maybe wider wheels.. the motor from this combo it is proven to be a good one. 😉

Yes.but is not recommended.it has way to match power on 3s. The diff s can broke and driveshafts too.! Good luck!😉

So. That motor is way bigger. You need to buy one 3650 3300kv up to 4300kv. And the servo is to big. You need a 3 wire servo 6kg that fits in wltoys. So you can use the esc and the transmitter and the receiver from cheetah. You need an different motor an servo.Cheers!

Hi, nice video. What is your experience with this brushless upgrade kit? I bought the same kit for the 124019, but the kit does not perform well. It is jamming while trying to start from zero speed. Hi my friend! To be honest the esc is one of the cheapest ones! Something you need to know, is brushless motors on low rpm is struggling in which direction to go compared with the brushed ones. Because this is how work brushless motors. To avoid this you can buy a better esc (hobbywing maybe) and install a smaller pinion about 17 tooth. Hope i answered your question. Cheers

Hi. Should be esc in channel 2 and servo channel 1. Normally the receiver should be binded with transmitter. And you will need a programming card because the brake force it seems to be 100% from factory which can destroy the differential if you have bigger wheels installed. Cheers

You should be using better White Lithium grease not this stuff.. Your meshing of the gears sounds off.

Why are you using super glue? They make stuff called threadlocker and 'sleeve retaining compound' specifically for keeping screws and bolts tight and the sleeve retaining compound for "gluing" gears & bearings onto shafts. Don't use super glue. 👎

I know mate.🙂 i didn't have one on that time. That car you just seen is now completely changed. Has different chassis( longer) and 17 tooth pinion. With 0.7 module. But the hole is a bit smaller but easily it can be done on 3mm. Have fun. Cheers
