Good conversion, could be a cheap way to get a good buggy, motor + esc only cost about £20 on Bangood.Either get this setup or just go all out and get the ZdRaptor Buggy, I trust ZD racing because of my positive experience with their d16 DRIFT CAR, really reliable. The A959 is quite reliable, my motor blew after about 3 months, I got bits here so they could be good spares if I get another, think I would go for the B version for the extra power. Rob

You can fix the toe angle of the fromt wheels by bending the plastic hub of each wheel where the rod connects to the steering machanism. I used a lighter to heat the plastic. Works perfectly, takes 1 minute and the hubs does not get brittle after heating.

Is this servo replacement a stronger servo ?
@TheDIYGuy9995 жыл бұрын
It is a bit stronger than the original one. The main reason to replace it was, that the original one is 5 pin, but the electronics swap required a 3 pin one. Material links are in the video description.
@EJDRIFTZ5 жыл бұрын
TheDIYGuy999 thanks dude currently modding my 979b and have been looking into a brushless motor and esc replacement , I’m aware you need a digital servo to be compatible with multi channel radio but I’d like to get the steering angle slightly larger using a stronger servo with a larger steering radius, I’ve noticed that there are extension adaptors for the hubs to give the rc car a wider wheel base giving me more room for the larger steering angle , hopefully this will also fix the problem of it being unpredictably controllable at high speeds and give it overall better handling.
