When I played basketball in highschool, the girls basketball coach used to want the girls to practice against us. We SLAUGHTERED them 2 or 3 times a week. Sometimes they'd barely score 10 points. The girls coach wanted us to show them no mercy so they could shake the feeling of losing. But we smashed them every time we played by large margins. They couldn't get rebounds, couldn't stop the dunks, couldn't get off press defense or anything. And what's crazy is it helped them tremendously bc they went on to win the state championship. Go Jags!

Many years ago, a girl of the same age (early 20's) invited me to play a game of squash. She had played the game for several years and was known to be a good player. She was very sporty, almost my height (6 foot) with a muscular physique. I on the other hand had never played squash in my life but I enjoyed sports, so gladly accepted her invitation. After she explained the rules, we began to play. Long story short... I absolutely thrashed her. I wasn't as skilled, but I was much faster and could hit the ball a lot harder. Although she was a really nice girl, she took the defeat very badly and never invited me to play again 😂

That’s right I’m a woman but I’m not going to pay to see an inferior product. They should absolutely recognize that women arent interested in watching them, so why would they expect men to. As for womens soccer i watched the national team back in the early 2000’s but not now. If you want more pay then you should bring in the same revenue as the men. Soccer is boring ,sorry but it is.

I can speak to this FIRSTHAND. Over 20 years ago I was a freshman in college, HS was literally 3 months ago and I went up against Chamique Holdsclaw ( 6’3 WNBA All star) at an open run. I was skinny back then being 17 years old and not having my grown man weight. I played hs basketball in PG county Maryland, the same place that Kevin Durant made his documentary about, a place where average high school teams would win state championships in other states. She tried to post me up. I was like “oh Shit, I’m about to get posted up by Chamique Holdsclaw” HOWEVER..she bumped against me and I immediately felt that she was soft…she felt “like a woman… like a girl” .. And then I was like hold up, “Chamique Holdsclaw is a girl!!” Somehow I forgot that she was still a girl because she was in the WNBA and “famous”. like I said, she’s maybe 2 inches taller than me so she attempted to post me up, when her body banged against mine, it felt like a pillow, I’m used to grown men in the post that are putting an elbow to my face like shaq does. I then Proceeded to lightly bump her and she damn near went flying..that’s when I KNEW “this girl is in trouble... I have to be delicate, I can actually hurt this girl because I’m still a man and she is a woman”. I’m only 6’2 she had me by 1 1/2 inches but I was too strong, fast, athletic, there was literally nothing she could do but pull up for jump shots ( which were cash money she can shoot) but I had to “play her like a girl” meaning I could’ve taken the ball from her every single time if I wanted to, blocked her shot every single time if I wanted to, and ran down the court and dunked it every single time if I wanted to. I’m sorry, but there is no chance in hell a WNBA team can beat a high school team that’s ranked.

Ultimately as good as she was she just wasn’t strong enough or fast enough. I was just one man and I didn’t even start on my high school team. 14 other guys just like me on the court, there’s just no way they can win, they wouldn’t get a single rebound, I had 7 footers on my high school team, the WNBA is struggling to get around Brittney Griner who’s only 6’9

I went to Central Michigan University and was dating one of the players on the women's team. They are a D1 school, admittedly much smaller, but still D1. I was able to be on a practice squad against the women which featured myself (2 seasons D2 experience) and 4 guys who never played beyond HS, including the brother of one player who didn't even play varsity in HS. We absolutely DESTROYED those women. You can't even begin to tell me that a legitimate championship HS boys team wouldn't wreck the WNBA champs. I'd go so far as to say put the best 12 to 15 WNBA players on a single roster, give them some time to prepare and develop a functional team and then play the game. The boys are still winning by 25+.

As a former collegiate and professional volleyball player back in the 80s, I can confirm that the women's net is 8 inches shorter than the men's. Might not seem like much but it's a world of difference. I actually enjoy watching women's volleyball (indoor) because their size and talent has improved tremendously and they tend to have longer, more dramatic rallies than the men. Having said that, at my peak I would confidently say that I was a better player then any women on the planet, then or now. I was fortunate to play in an NCAA final and for a first division championship team in Europe but I wouldn't have even made the list of top 200 men at the time.

It's documented that the WNBA had more money invested in it than the NBA when it started and it hasn't generated a profit in 27 years of existence. It costs the NBA $10--15M a year to keep the league going and the lights on. If this were a normal private business it would have folded decades ago (like a rival league did 3 years after the WNBA started). You asked about the reason the women reject lowering the rim and other things that might make it more entertaining? Pride. They have been conditioned to think that they're men and just as good as the men. They believe that they're *entitled* to the same money because their equal to the men...

Back in the day, (about 30 years ago) a non-sanctioned scrimmage game between the Lady Eagles of Alice Lloyd College the local high school boys team occurred every year. The boys won virtually every game, with the outliers being within 10 or so points or so. The coach of the Eagles said it was good for his team to play against males, because it helped them learn how to be more aggressive. The game had no seasonal consequences. it was unadvertised. No tickets were sold. It was a scrimmage game. Still a crowd of couple hundred people usually showed up for the spectacle. One year the girls kept it super close, and only lost by 1 point. The crowd was cheering for them like they were in the state championship. Here's the thing. It was fun. Everyone knew the girls were gonna lose those games, including the girls. They still played their hearts out - and the crowds cheered them on. They were the underdogs. Today the boys have been turned into societal underdogs. This game will never happen, because it will destroy the narrative, and re-empower that which has been emasculated.

I'm a man and I don't have to worry about those things. So, if a woman doesn't have to worry about those things, then would that be "special" or "equal" relative to a man?

Two years later I was on the bench for the under 19 team. There are levels and some guys just have unbelievable skills. 1988 my high school tried this crap and half time boys up 22-0. I recently had a coworker who one day started talking trash about basketball talking about being a “top 10 recruit in the state in basketball and volleyball”. I told her she had no shot. Mind you, I’m 35 and out of shape (very), and she is 22. We finally set it up, and while ugly, I didn’t give it 100% because I could quickly tell how it was gonna go. With me taking it easy I won 15-3 by 1’s and 2’s. I didn’t give her any flak, but she didn’t say SHIT. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Honesty, ive played hockey all my life, at a pretty high level (D1 and for the military) and now i play at the highest beer league level. We had a dude from the Capitals join our team while he was rehabbing an injury (Dean Melanson) a goon, not even a skill player that most people wouldn't even know, and there was nothing anyone could do to stop him on the ice. The skill and talent between the highest amateur/semi-pro and someone who has made the pros and had that practice and experience is ridiculous. Dude could outskate us with his eyes closed and one hand behind his back.

Samething happened to my cousin's friend playing in a hockey league. Some random nhl player that was friends with 1 of the players, subbed in cause of an injury for the team. The ref and coaches had to call the game cause its not a "legal" sub, the dude played about 20 mins and out skated everyone. He had to stop cause his insurance doesnt cover outside games if he got injured. It was wild to see 1 guy out skill an entire team. Its basically having an older family member beat ur cousin at mortal kombat getting a flawless victory each time.

7:49 To add to MTR’s point, most Women's NCAA and WNBA coaches ban dunking due to the risk of injury. Why don't they lower the rim? I don't know; let's ask the players why they have refused to implement such an idea. Personally, I think they want so badly to be like the men that lowering the rim might seem like a slight. But the WNBA ball is smaller than the NBA ball; make it make sense. What's most frustrating about this stance that some WNBA players take is their disregard for the history of the NBA. I remember when NBA games were barely televised, and the players grew their fan bases by being involved in the community (camps, school visits, All-star games, etc.). It was the competitiveness that drew in crowds, which brought media coverage and big deals. These WNBA players seem to want the rewards without doing the work to build their team and the WNBA brand. This feminist sort of stance has only turned the few women and fans they had away.
