Caitlin Clark is not a bully. She is simply very skilled - the best female long-range shooter we have ever seen, an amazing passer, and a great ball handler. She also handles herself really well, refusing to criticize those who slam her. The only logical reason I can see for disrespecting her is that she is white, religious and heterosexual. I doubt very much that she would be drawing the negativity thrown her way if she checked off intersectional boxes. Yes, there’s jealousy, but I don’t think that explains the undeserved criticisms she has received.

Calling Caitlin Clark a bully is more insulting to the other players than Swoops realizes. Bullies intimidate, abuse and harass others who “are unlikely to defend themselves”. Is the rest of the WNBA unlikely to defend themselves? Or defenseless? Are they powerless? Isn’t what the WNBA rookies go through as rookies “lessons” taught by those with a “perceived position of power”? That’s the definition of a bully. Isnt it so strange that women in many professions don’t extend the nurturing of our “young” or “novices” to the profession?

There is absolutely zero evidence that Clark is a bully. She is a talented athlete that opposing players have trouble competing with, which is why they have to use tactics like cheap-shots, both physical and verbal, against her.

Bullying is a deliberate effort to physically intimidate someone else by threatening to overpower them. Clark doesn't bully; she lets her shooting and play-making skills do all the intimidating for her. Opponents are intimidated because they don't know how to defend her.

CC has defensive attention like few if any have seen. When she uses her off hand/arm to push off it’s because she has hands all over her and she is trying to maintain possession of the ball while dribbling. Swoopes sees the push off BUT somehow misses CC getting mauled? Come the F on! CC can be accused of shit talk on the court, but she is no bully. She isn’t terribly aggressive defensively she is the general on the floor for ball handling and movement and directing traffic for plays. Phenomenal passer and exciting player! Swoopes is a fan of Reese and NOT a fan of Clarke’s. The problem is, Swoopes knows better! She is an OG star of the W and she damn sure knows better! Shame on her playing blatant favoritism instead of objectively assessing things. She’s hurting her own reputation.

I dont mind a little push & shove or a little trash talk. AR foul was called right by the ref, not a big deal to me. I think they do get frustrated guarding her, but the WNBA is like 80s to 90s NBA, very physical. But a bully? No.

Come on my brother you got to be a hundred on this or you need to see more games she is and like I said I've been doing this coaching okay for over 35 years College in high school level I'm in Long Beach California right here LA County a lot of young ladies that have played the game and those who are playing the game they say she's not all that she's overrated the W is trying to protect her but they can't because she's exposing herself and the referees are trying to protect her but they can't because it's obvious she is not intimidating nobody she can't get a shot off unless she's out there by herself she can't dribble penetrate she can't take you off the dribble she has one hand she passed the ball in her other hand brings it back and then goes where she needs to go You Can Tell She's going to drive okay and you can tell where she's going to shoot it's easy

If she’s so easy to read and unskilled…..why does she have a lot of records? I’m not saying she’s the best player ever….but it also seems like her style is more fun to watch/engaging…..or else the WNBA would have been more popular prior to her. She seems like a talented player, but it really doesn’t matter…..in the long run she will be laughing all the way to the bank. She keeps her interviews professional, and companies will like that for their marketing.

I've been coaching for over 35 years College as well as High School and I'm going to say this for you Clark is a bully nobody talked about her throwing her elbow and hitting Carter in the face and then going down the court talking trash to Carter that was two plays before Carter bumped her as I talked to a few of the athletes that are playing when clock is going well she wants to talk trash and she uses the media a lot of people are jumping on her they're playing good defense on it they know that she only has one hand they know she can't get off her own shot they know she cannot dribble penetrate okay without pushing off with that offhand she extends it when you extend that off hand it is a foul she is pushing off when she goes for rebounds she truly knows that she cannot get a shot off without screens or pics she also cannot defend she is a terrible Defender

Hey..she is sneaky and dirty. She not only pushes off but pushes the player going up with the ball. It's so quick that it doesn't look like a push to the refs. Caitlin agitates the players with it trying to get retaliation. It's been working.

That doesn't make her a bully though or a dirty player. This pushing off is more a faking move more than anything else - that's why the refs don't call it. That just makes her a "smart" competitor. She is playing mind games with her opponent. She trash talks, she waves off, she gets the crowd involved all these things are entertaining to watch and she knows it.

Go back and watch her college play, she literally pushes her opponents to the grown. In the pros, she throws elbows, she's also a flopper, the woman barely gets touched & she pulls a Lebron. I'm also sick of the narrative that these women HATE Caitlin, this is the medias fault & her fan base has run with it. It's like saying BuffsNation hate white people & we don't know you from Adam, besides that, you NEVER said you hate white people. I don't see enough black media platforms standing up for Angel Reese & the fact that she's a competitor not a whiner, she's not a villain. I see people portraying Caitlin as the white, feminine, heterosexual in a black lesbian league, well Angel Reese is a black heterosexual far more feminine than Caitlin Clark in the same league & I don't see or hear talking heads go tit for tat in her favor. SAD.
