It's gonna take time to dump Smith so gabby Williams will be a real option in the 2nd half of the season.

Smith got hurt so they missed it by like 5 games. It was a Chicago this year kinda situation. But they got the best odds at the #1 pick because they were absolutely terrible despite they efforts the year before Boston got there. So it really was Aalyiah Boston of we being hounst. But clark was great and helped her improve especially with things like unlocking those backdoor cuts which are lethal. And moving her back to her natural spot was a game changer. Plum to GS though i think Lynx could use her and her and Collier would fit. Plum is playing like the number 2 PG on the team, but is a star caliber and unhappy with Aja. Suns have so many players that could leave. Fever could pick up anyone of them and their defense would get better. I just dnt see any of them fitting with the Fever. I could see the Aces picking up one of them. Especially if they loose Plum. Suns will loose somone. Maybe 2. Stewie stays. Sabally expressed interest with the Fever. Would be a good fit, too. I appreciate your opinion but its a math problem for Connecticut - you can't give max deals to 4 players and build a team - you can't. Even if you convince 2 of them to take a mid-level exception - you would still fork out 900,000 of your 1.5 M cap on 4 players. Particularly Carrington - who is now looking for a big pay day after playing on a rookie scale for 4 years. That means they other 8 players would have to take league minimums to meet the cap space. You know 8 players willing to take 70,000 a year? It's not likely - I think they keep 3 of them - if they can convince Thomas or Bonner to stick around for 180-200K a year - then they have a shot at building a roster. I think they let Jones go.

Mitchell was already on a max contract. Would have been foolish for them to sign her to a supermax and have another losing season. Kelsey also needed to see if the team was going to win. They've had a lot of coaching turnover since she got drafted and the team has not been competitive. She mentioned before the playoffs that she's experienced a lot of losing and didn't want to go back to that again.
