But this one play right here is why even though both were fifth year students, Jackson was in the argument to be the second overall pick and Kate was expected to go undrafted. Firstly, a big shoutout to this year’s draft class. They’ve been up to the hype. RJ proved it tonight along side Brink. This was so far the best game into the season I think. Both teams meant bizness, the hype was real, the game was super competitive and interesting. I love that The Sparks came out ready to battle the defending champs. Well, as an Aces fan I felt bad for our loss, but then, the acquisition of KM gladdens my heart as the days go, the dawg nature of AW keeps getting a lot fun to watch, and the whole team looks guhd enough to contest for this year’s chip. Missed My gurl Jackie out there tonight, but hope next game we gon get some adjustments and continue with the Ws. Love Me the game of Basketball 😊

Kelsey Plums terrible shooting is why they lost. She shot like 2/11 from 2 and was missing wide open lay ups why on earth is Becky running a play for her to shoot a 3 when they were losing when she couldve got a way higher percentage 2 from Aja its terrible coaching. Plum needs to stick to shooting 3s and leave the paint shots to Wilson since Young wasnt playing and she needs to never attempt more shots than the goat in her life.

Vegas is a strong team and Wilson is nasty plus plum and the rookie are sharpshooters. On the flip, brink has to get aggressive if it’s in her bag, or do better at being a stretch big,

She's on the perimeter a lot, so she's taking a ton of jumpshots. She's very mobile and athletic, so I don't know why they don't run more plays for her cutting to the rim. They just don't set her up very well.

Like CC is a slasher and pull up 3, brink is a shooter and passer she can’t be down in the paint I think because she doesn’t seem to like handling the ball a ton? I loved Cordoso in college, but in Chicago she looks lost! Angel comes off aggressive in the press but also seems soft/lost. I think it’s all just rookie jitters and old school time needed to build chemistry and get them to their strengths

@craigvstheory Caitlin needs to get stronger as well. She's struggling with the physicality, strength, length, and athleticism on both ends of the floor. She's going up against players that can do everything she can, so it's harder. She can shoot, but so can 3 other players on most teams. She's a great passer, but so are the guards on all the other teams. In College, she was better than her competition on most nights, not in this league. I think it will take all the rookies a couple of seasons to settle in.

Plum is taking wayyyy to many shots. I told everyone they need to trust Kate Money Martin more. The Sparks biggest issue had been their Horrible guard play costing them any chances of Wins early on. Yesterday, those Guards did much better. As opposed to wasting away the efforts of the Sparks rising Rookies. The last several Aces games, looks like Plum is just Forcing things too much. She is better then that. Towards the end of the Season, they likely get back 2 players which is like getting back 2 Number 1 draft pick type talent. So they just need to hold things together until then.

Plum was/is an earlier version of CC. Hyper aggressive, fast pace, hair trigger. The team is in her hands instead of Gray's and adjustments need to be made for it to work. Obviously KM has no problem with it... A'ja will always do her thing, the others, I dunno. But with Young out, KP had some extra scoring to do. She didn't shoot great but neither did Hayes. Vegas had 4 productive players on the floor all night. Sparks played their best game of the year. They're figuring it out. They're going to be good when the final pieces fall into place.
